  • I'd like to see too Weezl :)

AF, you probably don't want to hear from me lol... I tried controlled crying a little with Aimee on the health visitors advice... It didn't work... She cried until she was sick... I decided after that that there was a reason she was awake and she just wanted the extra reassurance that I was there... (I stopped feeding her in the night at 9 months when she was still waking every 90mins-2hours) Sometimes she needed a cuddle in the night, sometimes she didn't want picking up, but a bum pat would be enough... I just went through it all with her and eventually, she didn't need me to go in...

I also think some children need the sleep more than others... Caitlyn sleeps an awful lot more than Aimee ever did... Although she's gone back to waking twice in the night...

I don't feel very well :( Started with a little tickle at the back of my nose and now I have a rotten head ache, sore throat etc... :(

(Incidentally, anyone else here have their tonsils out but feel like they still get half a tonsilitis? My soft palate feels like it used to when I got tonsilitis and it really hurts!)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Moning all..

weezl, yes please to photos - outfit sounds lovely! :o

Pleased to report I had six solid hours sleep :D Paying for it now with a thumping head (too much sleep?!) and painful boobs! :( As expected, found OH and Rhys zonked out in the darkness of the computer room - Rhys in his bouncer, snuggled into a blanket, and OH looking very chilled in his big office chair

Might even make myself a cuppa and go back to bed for a few hours.. :D
  • Chasing... My friends daughter is called Scarlett... I think it's a beautiful name :)

I read that babies with a less than 6 month gap since previous sibling are 3-6 times more likely to come early.

They think it's something to do with how able the body is to create placental tissue if there may be a deficit of iron. (Or it may not be that at all, but that's one working hypothesis they have :) )

P.s Sami, I think you've known me long enough to know I don't mind sharing! :D:A

Ah I see, I knew you'd prob not mind but you know, just in case.

CB I'm confused (easily done) is she Scarlet or Charlote?
Either way nice name and who cares what they think!

Well I've just woken, feeding Edgar right now and feel ravenous!! I don't get it I ate at about 11:30 last night how come I'm so hungry??
I so want to go back to sleep but I have so much to do today I can't really :(

  • Well Ruby has slept in her own bed ( and room) for the first time ever! We had to change her cot in the bed as she had taken to climbing out and although she didnt hurt herself it was only a matter of time. She went down at half 8 and eventually went to sleep at half 9.... until 7 this morning. 1st time she has not slept in our bed:j hope this is a sign of things to come. Have read back about 10 pages on hope all babies are behaving and colds getting better. Am off out for a girlie lunch with DD1 and my mum and then to watch Fame - cant wait:p

My mum leaves the stones in it coz she's super lazy :p so I just realised I missed the pick out the stones stage:o I think you have to leave them in for the first 5mins as they contain the pectin that helps it set (but I could have made that up!)
I stoned my plums first and it set really well. (I even took a photo of the half jar lying on its side because I was so impressed.)

When I was feeding Alice in the middle of the night I used to eat four marmalade sandwiches at the same time and still be ready for breakfast at 7.30.

    morning all! :D:D:D

omg... poor mummy has no time to visit here plus a husband who is dealing with all that has happened by spending his time on the computer. he's also got a really bad cold sore so doesnt want to come too close to Kian, incase he catched the cold sore virus.

thanks everyone for your messages and posts. we are still in shock about my SIL. the funeral is on monday, so i am going hoping that it will somehow make things a bit easier afterwards. DH- hasnt really sunk in at all. So, I have told him to help what he can with Kian and grieve for his sister. my mum is still here and i am talking with her about everything and my cmw is an absolute gem and a fabulous listener.

so Kian, well he;s doing really well. up to 90ml feeds. and when i put him down for the night (usually bout 12am) he wakes bout 4 and then sleeps till bout 7/8 and we get up then.

mummy is not doing so well. have had to change my BP meds and now taking Lisinopril which means i cant breastfeed/express. i start the meds today but i expressed enough yesterday for 1 more feed today. only prob now is my boobs are so full of milk they are agony. anyone got any tips on how to ease the pain??

  • Hi,

Sami/bruno - sorry I was tired and probably wasn't clear! dd3 is Scarlet :D (mil miss heard)

Thanks Bruno - I did wonder if that is what they were thinking - I just wish they wouldn't be so vocal when they disagree with something we do! I prefer the silence we were greeted with when we told them dd1's name :rotfl: (Madison)

ty krystal - we thought it was beautiful too and ties in with the other kids names and our surname (which isn't the easiest to get a first name to match up to )

Anyway not going to let them upset me (which things like the usually do) DH is off on Monday so we have 3 whole days together :j

    *potters off for some breakfast*
