Quiche? Pasta salads? Cold sliced egg with sliced meat and cheese? Carrot sticks? I'm trying to think of bland things that don't need much eating but still get calories into her. Celery sticks filled with peanut butter? You can stick raisins to the tops too and call it ants on a log.
My friend had her little girl yesterday - Georgia Lee.
Also, two people on my FB list found out the sex of their babies today - I was really excited to tell you all but they're both on the PG thread so you probably know :rotfl:
Speedy, vaguely funny story:
A girl I know was out to dinner with a group of us last night. She's 20, and the rest of us are late twenties to early/middle forties. A friend sitting beside me saw a cute guy (22? 23?) with another group and was commenting on him. Young Girl (YG) came to ask what we were talking about and we told her. She then started talking about us being "cougars". I pointed out that cougaring was probably a rewarding experience, meaning that the younger male would gain much knowledge from an experienced older woman.
YG commented, You're right, he could teach her all the new sexy stuff that's been invented since your generation were doing it.
How the [expletive deleted] does she think I acquired Molly, and how does she think teenagers have improved the act since I was one?!

Great news Harley! Did you get treated for thrush when pg? I think the cream can be used on ur nips, maybe read the leaflet to see if it mentions it if you do have some.
I've found (along with a few others here) that tommee tippee are the most absorbant tesco own "ultra slim breast pads" are a good cheaper alternativeit does get better I still leak but no longer go through a box and a haf each week!
I'm not sure of the brand of the pads I was given as they are just in clear polythene tubes but the ones I bought today were johnsons as those are the ones from the bounty pack that I tried last night. Decided cost was not so important until I figure out what boobies need to feel normal.
The lovely fairys have offered to bring some others so I should be dry and nice feeling very soon.jillie1974 wrote: »we're doing fine. i had probs with breast feeding as well at first and made the decision to express as i was getting so stressed as Kian wouldnt latch on/feed at all. and they were getting a bit concerned at te hospital. got my head round the expressing and then had to change my BP meds and couldnt express. was very disappointed at first but... have to look after my own health as well.
loving every moment of being a mummy. TBH i wish now we'd had children earlier instead of waiting. if we decide to have another child it will ideally need to be in next 2-3 years as i dont want to be much older than now. DH is doing brilliant with him. he's goona be a fab dad.
Very glad to hear it Jillie, I'm loving it too. I can't believe I'm going to have to act fast if I want another one. Though I think my options are limited, unless I go and seduce some random sailor one night. Though I live in hope that one day I'll meet someone who doesn't walk out on me. Kezia is by far the best thing ever to happen to me and I would so love to give her a little brother or sister to grow up with. Glad DH is doing so well too, I know some men feel a bit big next to tiny babies and worry about hurting them. Dad was a bit like that today, he held her for ages but only after we had put her in his arms, he was too afraid to pick her up himself incase he didn't hold her head properly.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »Harley - tons of people cry at their first Booby Group! Hope your Big Booby is lovely and helped lots!
Thanks, glad to hear I'm not the only one but I did feel like a bit of a t!t
And Tara, not sure where your quote went but yes, it looks like I have migrated over here now. though I'm trying to keep up with the pg thread too as I love to hear about the new babies and the scan results. Trouble is there are not enough hours in the day anymore and by the time I've read everything I need to feed, eat or clean so I don't get to join in as much as I used to.
