Thanks Jillie. That would be lovely. I'll PM you.
Mum apparently had a great birthday. Had a whole hour of cuddles whilst dad took me to asda to get the prescription and fish and chips (as car failed MoT so won't be fixed until tomorrow) and helped me sort out which clothes fit Kezia now and which can be put aside for later.
And today was much less stressfull. I only gave Kezia 2 bottles last night but I think it was enough to calm me down and give poor boobies a break. Didn't actually get round to opening the formula tin I went out to buy but I think just having it there was reassuring in itself.
How are things going with you and Kian?
xxxxx
we're doing fine. i had probs with breast feeding as well at first and made the decision to express as i was getting so stressed as Kian wouldnt latch on/feed at all. and they were getting a bit concerned at te hospital. got my head round the expressing and then had to change my BP meds and couldnt express. was very disappointed at first but... have to look after my own health as well.
loving every moment of being a mummy. TBH i wish now we'd had children earlier instead of waiting. if we decide to have another child it will ideally need to be in next 2-3 years as i dont want to be much older than now. DH is doing brilliant with him. he's goona be a fab dad.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
weezl, how are you today?
how are you doing with all the groups you were planning to go to?
I, erm, haven't been to loads of thembut I have tried to do a social/mum and baby group every day and that's been successful
Today I've been feeling pretty rubbish. HR came up with a possible way forward about the money and the line manager has been stalling and stalling.
I wrote today and said that I was concerned that the stress over the last month was having an adverse effect on my health during pregnancy, and that I needed to know when she would be able to let me know where I stand in relation to my work and my next years income.
She left it a day and then sent a one-liner saying she was sorry I was feeling unwell. But still no timeframes or action
Still, work is just a little part of life, right? Fergie tried a marshmallow todayI know they have sugar, but I was making rocky road and he lunged for one! His face was lovely, a mixture of delight at the taste and bewilderment at the texture :rotfl:
Thanks for asking em, How you doing lovely?

Many thanks for my second Fairy Mail parcel of this week! (I've worked out who it's from
)
Picked up our new (well, almost new) car today, a Ford Focus with a nice hatch to put the buggy in!
NICU Matron collared us today, they want to start the wind-down to Andrew being discharged :j :j :j Apparently it'll take a couple of weeks to organise the oxygen for home (meetings, training, installation etc) so we are to give them the nod when we've discussed it and we're happy to go ahead with that.
In the meantime, Andrew and I have to get BF sussed. I had a chat today with the BF Advisor who's explained why he falls off the nipple so much, why he gets tired etc (all down to his preemie-ness), and she okayed my positioning. The pair of us just have to give it a damn good try - so, I'm going to be spending all day on the unit from now on, so that in theory I'm there for the 12, 4 & 8pm feeds, but in reality it'll be more like feeding on demand, to give Andrew the idea that he has to get hungry and then shout for food.
Once BF is sorted and the home oxygen is getting organised, I'll need to "room in" so that I get used to doing night feeds, and also get used to managing Andrew's oxygen equipment and monitoring.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
