    Hi Everyone,

I have caught up but my tired brian hasn't retained any of it.

DD did not sleep well at u all all hot and itchy.

Spots have appeared on her tongue now! So she is refusing all hot food. She had a peanut butter sandwich followed by ice cream for her tea. I'll straighten her diet out once she's better.

She's getting grumpy again so it's bath and bed for her.

    MDW

aww the poor thing. hope she is feelinng better soon

    Hi ladies.

Not had time yet to go back and catch up as Mum and Dad have just left after treating me to fish and chips for Mums birthday.

But I wanted to come on to say thank you for your support last night. Boobie club this morning was great, despite the fact that I started with 'Hi, I'm Harley and I'm struggling...Wahhhh'. Don't do crying in public and felt like a right lemon but they were great.

They think Kezia has thrush cos of the white spot on her lip and further inspection showed a couple more inside her mouth. Doctor agreed over the phone and gave me some drops to give her. Hopefully that'll make it easier. For some reason she didn't want to treat me yet though. I'll mention it to the health visitor tomorrow as it seems to me that we'll just reinfect each other.

Anyway, whether it is just in my head now or what but feeding doesn't seem to hurt so much today. Still a bit painful and still burning a bit now but I think now I know its not my fault I'm handling it much better.

Anyway, thanks again and I'll try to skim back through if she stays asleep.

    Harley

Harley, the fairies have a midwife who gave them a tube of naturopathic (?) nipple cream (lanolin, cocoa butter and olive oil with some essential oils). It's barely been used and worked magic in the first weeks. If you PM me your address I could pass it onto the fairies?

Sugar, you are an absolute star for the offer but since things seem to be looking up hopefully I won't be needing it. A friend gave me Lansinoh cream before she was born, is it the same sort of thing? That does seem to be helping a bit. She also gave me the nursing pads which don't seem to be very absorbant but I got some different ones today which are a bit better as there is no way I can go without. I tried this morning for 10 mins and both me and my bedding were soaked.

Thanks Jillie. That would be lovely. I'll PM you.

Mum apparently had a great birthday. Had a whole hour of cuddles whilst dad took me to asda to get the prescription and fish and chips (as car failed MoT so won't be fixed until tomorrow) and helped me sort out which clothes fit Kezia now and which can be put aside for later.

And today was much less stressfull. I only gave Kezia 2 bottles last night but I think it was enough to calm me down and give poor boobies a break. Didn't actually get round to opening the formula tin I went out to buy but I think just having it there was reassuring in itself.

How are things going with you and Kian?

MM, Rhys has recently been to the Optomitrist (sp?!). They get them to follow a toy from left to right, shine a light in their eyes from a distance, and hold up big cardboard sheets with black and white circles on, then peer through a hole in the board to watch what baby is looking at. Nothing invasive or that'll hurt them :) Rhys has to go back in late November to try the tests again because he was so nebby about what was going on on the other side of the room, he wouldn't cooperate and stay looking at the boards  :o

Good to know, thanks hun & sami :D
I had to disappear there, got prjectile vomit down my cleavage  How sexy is that :o:rotfl: I gave Dylan to chris and said I was going to have a quick wash, he told me it would need to be a full blown shower or he wasnt sleeping with me tonight !! Charming:rolleyes: However, I like my cuddles, so I had a shower :D

Great news Harley! Did you get treated for thrush when pg? I think the cream can be used on ur nips, maybe read the leaflet to see if it mentions it if you do have some.

I've found (along with a few others here) that tommee tippee are the most absorbant tesco own "ultra slim breast pads" are a good cheaper alternative :) it does get better I still leak but no longer go through a box and a haf each week!
