Thanks Susan, yes I'm trying to involve Oscar more now when I'm doing things instead of waiting for when he's not around. He loves me hoovering, we've got a Dyson cylinder which has an air outlet thingy which blows out air. He walks behind me with his hair blowing all over the place and thinks it's hysterical:rotfl:
Have read Sparkles quidco/tesco genius thing so will be trying that on Sunday

Am flagging now, roll on hometime and cuddles with my little ones :j

LoL I would love to take the credit for that but I stole it from the Food and Groceries Board! Glad its going to help though!

AM, DD is 12wks. XXX Typing one-handed so struggling.
    Has she contacted you again?
Is she with someone, if she is having the porcedure today, she will be feeling a bit tender for a day or 2 and should rest as much as possible.

Scruffy - Don't let El eat cheesy wotsits with the hoody on, they won't come out! Suprised you didn't see them dotted all over Keira's one. I think it was Tesco we got it? Cute anyways.

Krystal: What is the training like for the breast feeding supporter? I've been encouraged to do it but thought I'd pick your brains first if you don't mind
Who is the training with? I've done a few different courses and they vary a fair amount, but they're mostly sitting discussing things in a circle type courses... They give you a great opportunity to debrief your own experiences... And one of the best ones I did contained a lot of counselling and listening skills... I think you should definitely do it :)

Thanks for the heads up on the tesco thing BM... I went looking after you posted it last night... Ummed and ahhed a bit then thought sod it and signed up with quidco  Can you believe I've never signed up with them before... I need stringing up... After that I also did the child trust fund so cheers AM, that's another £50 on it's way to me :D

Last night was interesting... The toe rag across the road got picked up by the police so I spent a good 20mins eaves dropping in my bedroom... One thing I shall miss when I get my new windows and we're all sound proof... But at least then I won't have to listen to !!!!! mom screaching at all her many kids at all hours of the day and night...

Little miss had her jabs yesterday... She cried a fair bit but after a nap was absolutely fine really... I did give her some calpol at bed time because she seemed a little flushed, she slept for 8 hours straight for the first time in a million years it feels like... And after the night before, it was a godsend... I feel half human today! And also... Because she didn't feed all night, I not only woke up with a completely soaked through top... I managed to express 90ml from each side!!! 180ml in 1 sitting!

Was supposed to pop to town and fetch something for tea but I seem to have lost my bus pass... Only 2 days on it so it's not a huge loss... But it's an annoyance... I don't like having to pay for the bus knowing I've already paid... gah...

Oh, and I went to a session on handling difficult behaviour today... Seems I'm doing pretty much all I can (basically, if you've watched super nanny then you know it all anyway) They didn't show me how to beat her into submission without leaving marks though sadly...

(eta... Apparently p!key is a swear... My wrists slapped...)

Ok, well tell her from me that it's really not all that bad, I think the worry is the worst thing, and the waiting for results but from my research when I had it done, majority of people had their results back within 3 days, also a vast majority come back fine.
Will she have someone to go with her?
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her whatever she decides, if you have anymore questions, just ask.

I never used Quidco really before either, kicking myself because the amount of things I've bought online, could have a fair whack in there by now!

Is it normal for kids not to like loud noises? Keira has always been a bit of a wally with it, and we were on the bus going into town and some young kid in a buggy started shreiking, dead loud it was, and she started crying, she's done that a few times with loud noises....Normal?

Oh yeah, I remember what I was going to say... BM... with regards to your ds... I'm sure your contract is with the shop that sold you the goods not the manufacturer of the goods... It is up to the shop to refund/replace you and up to them to sort it out with nintendo... And you don't need to take out extra insurance... If you pay money for something it needs to be fit for purpose... Something that breaks within 12 months is not fit for purpose... Want me to come and argue for you? I don't back down in shops ;)

Eta, and yeah, the loud noises thing is normal... My little cousin (4) covers his ears and snuggles into his mum's leg if there's a lot of shouting and stuff going on...

Eta 2: Sale of goods act... http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/consumers/fact-sheets/page38311.html
    • It is the seller, not the manufacturer, who is responsible if goods do not conform to contract.
    • If goods do not conform to contract at the time of sale, purchasers can request their money back "within a reasonable time". (This is not defined and will depend on circumstances)
    • For up to six years after purchase (five years from discovery in Scotland) purchasers can demand damages (which a court would equate to the cost of a repair or replacement).

But the guy in Gamestation said to me "The warranty is valid for things like if it just stops working or it stops charging etc, not for broken hinges, you have to take that up with nintendo but if you had bought the insurance for £12.99 at the time of purchase then we would of replaced it no problem...."

Dunno who to believe now!! I don't want to go back in the shop, I'm really bad at arguing with people, but it wasn't MY fault it broke.

What should I do? Cry down the phone ?
