Roast beef - cover it in olive oil, some salt and pepper and roll it in some flour. Heat the frying pan up and whack it in for a minute or so to sear it (make it go brown) all over. Put it in a roasting tin in the oven at about 200°C for about 15 minutes per pound of meat. That should come out brown on the edges and pink in the middle. If you like it well done, go for 18-20 mins per pound.
It's also nice in the slow cooker. Just sear it and chuck it in the pot with about ½ pint of water and a beef stock cube and leave it all day. Even if you buy tough cheap joints, they come out of the slow cooker with a melt in the mouth texture like expensive beef.
Sorry I've not been around much. Been unwell and things not going so good here. Nothing to worry about just lots of niggly little things all come at once! Here I go again on my own....0 -
Amber sleeps 11pm-7am most nights now. Which is great, but she feeds all day at times every hour! Bottles and breast depending on her mood. So I get lots of sleep, but can't do much during the day in between feeds.
Lots of stuff listed on ebay now, hoping to get some cash and pay off some of my credit cardShould put it in my siggy... but then you post somewhere else and you get the ones who go 'ooohhh look at your DEBT, we're not nice like the DEBT FREE boards so mleh neh neh (we're so aweshum init?)'. I was debt free this time last year you know.
Off to fill a few black bags from the kids room, wish me luck, and if I'm not back in an hour, I've been killed by the The Room Of DOOM!!!:rotfl:0
