Optimum temperature for bacteria growth is 50 degrees. As you will never reheat a babys bottle to anywhere near that temperature, and are feeding as soon as the powder is added, the bacteria should not be able to grow.
Equally the way you do it, the bacteria are being killed instantly in the boiling waer and as it is cooled suddenly, the water does not hover around the 50 degree mark to allow them to start developing againThe two best things I have done with my life

SM, hopefully it's just a phase she is going through. They aint half sent to try us eh?
MM, those jammies are cute, and so is Dylan!
Glam, I add powder to cooled boiled water. Everyone has to agree to disagree about it, from what I have read the risk is very very small to healthy term babies over a few weeks old so I go with what works best for us. Way I see it, I did it this way for the boys and they are fine. But then, I'd never tell anyone they were doing it wrong unless it was something really bad.0 -

Good going SM! I'm off to follow your example - I like to have everything ship shape when MIL arrives
best get on then x
Hope you both have a lovely time!
DH and I have lots of lunch dates, such as today while my parents have the children (they have them every Mon and Thurs afternoon).
We have been to Gourmet Burger Kitchen! Never been before and not my choice this time but my mushroom and camembert was very yummy .
