Hi – Bruno – we missed you! We don’t have clear words at 8 months, just lots of sounds. One sounds a bit like mum, but her favourite is Bob, whoever he is?
Thanks 3!Yes, that sort of babbly sounding stuff at that age - even now at 14 months Elijah is not exactly rolling in words... "cup", "anana","light", "daddy", "wuh-wye"...
Morning all.. We've had another lie in
Cos you live in the most expensive place in the country and I live in the cheapest, just aboutHope Elijah is better soon
Lordy, it's alright for some and your quality lie-ins!He's ok really I hope, just fragile. Yes, it is very expensive here  I am probably foolish to be here, but - born and bred - etc.
I've even managed to loosen the reigns enough to leave MIL to bath and put baby to bed so we can go straight out when hubby gets home from work. Now I just have to find something in my wardrobe to wear
Wow, that's impressive rein-loosening! OH is nowhere near that yet and she is 6 months ahead of you :rolleyes:0 -
Bruno - believe me it's taken some arm twisting and this is only the 4th time I've ever left her. The problem is I'll be exhausted by the time we get out of the house if I do bath and bed, plus we'll be leaving about 8pm and I'm so tired I have to be in bed about 10pm making it a short evening.
it's not my ideal situation but she's desperate to do it and I'm in desperate need of some non baby timer.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Afternoon All
Havnt been around much this week, Have been ill with flu and OH has had man flu! Why is it women carry on and just get on with it and men have to take to bed for the week in order to feel better?
Have read back but briefly,
Tara Huge hugs to you and congrats to your DD.
Tia Hugs for you too, men can be so insensitive sometimes.
Feelie where are you??? Hope your ok!
Rmac if you taken them to CS they will more than likely refund them for you, although I have a few packs of asda LS vests and never had that problem, but how annoying for you.
MMfor clear smear and pleased physio went well today.
Elle I also have a clingy baby today but she has caught a cold from my flu so thats why. Still cant get anything done though and have MIL coming later
Mel Thats great news about your finances being sorted out, nice to 'see' you too!

r.mac, I would take them back to the shop despite the cost, they can only say no refund or exchange, but I have always found Asda to have excellent Customer Care at the service desk.
I'm assuming you can identify them with the George label, if so, then I would definately return them.0 -

Argh.. the constant whinging, whether I'm holding him or not, is doing my head in now!
Drooling, chewing his hand, whinging and stinky nappies.. teething?
The Comms Nurse is running late and FIL is gracing us with his presence at half three. No time to express, which always puts me in a bad mood and I wanted to make biscuits today for FIL too
Any fairies with earplugs out there?0 -
Tigs best of luck for the MRI.
I am feeling really rough today, headache, dizzyness and feeling sick. No paracetamol in the house so I had to take 1 co-codomol and hope for the best. Boys are being PITA's too. Already had snot wiped on the sofa, a curtain pulled down, a black bag of junk from their room emptied and once again thrown across the room, lost count of the amount of toys I've tripped over in the livingroom today and then the tantrunms because I won't let them watch tv/play xbox/wii/do painting/play guns....
Think I have PMT, wish it would hurry up and be over with if it is. :rolleyes:0 -
Could be Elle. They seem to have a few episodes like that before the teeth actually come through.0
