  • Afternoon all... This has been the plague house this week. Me and DH are both resurfacing from swine Flu (or one of the similar bugs that are going round at the mo) and izzy has a cough/cold. Luckily we have had help frpm MIL and my Mum, so Izzy has had some granny time.

I hope you have all been healthier than us. Can someone update me on what i've missed?

Cadburys biscuits have a promo code for a photo mug from Snapfish for 99p! (one per household). I bought 2 packs for £2 at Tesco.

Hi SB, have you ordered these yet....

just been to Sainsburys and the code is on the outside of the packaging so should I actually buy the biscuits?

We started teaching Alice "No" at about 8 months by picking one thing (in our case chewing a coffee table) which we didn't want her to do and were able to stop her from doing and consistently stopping her from doing it and saying, "No" at the same time. Once she started responding to "No" by stopping herself, we exapnded to using "No" for other things. I can't remember how long it took for her to understand but I do remember that when we visited my mum at ten months she understood it because she was going towards the (never used) electric fire and my mum was thinking about saying "No" but then my brother happened to say it coincidentally in whatever it was he was saying at the time and she stopped.

Cheers guys. Huge rant follows so feel free to skip.

    Its
away to work now. After having a go at me for missing the bin man (bins haven't been out out in weeks, my fault apparently even though it is the ONLY thing I ask him to do), bin man turns up at the usual time and bins get emptied... And he yelled at me when a letter form a debt collection agency came in, he read it and said it was because of that parking ticket that I hadn't sent the appeal letter away yet (no stamps). Over £200 and it was my fault for being too lazy to go get stamps... After listening to him moaning on and on about it, I read it. It was to do with a scottish power bill that I had already paid! That was all after the 2 hour rant about my parents shop that we put money into and how they are running it all wrong and we need to do something (what I ask?). Oh and the house is a !!!!! hole because I sit on the internet 8 hours a day...

Course it is all my fault, he is working 6 days a week and can't do anything and if I'm not coping should I not be getting a home help?? Why should I get a home help? Because my husband is a lazy git and I have 3 children to look after and I'm supposed to keep everything perfect on my own? My boys are messy, I spend most of my time just sorting out whatever they have done, tried to get them to keep thinmgs clean and tidy but they see their dad sitting doing sod all so why should they be any different?

Don't even get me started on how I am supposed to make lunch for everyone at the same time as feed Amber while husband plays xbox... or the constant little comments about how he hought he was past nappies and milk feeds and hes finding it hard adjusting to having a baby again when he thought he was done.

Rant over, off to clean... no not clean, know what? I'm off to get rid of all the !!!!!!! junk in this house of his that is taking up space! That may or may not include his clothes and bloody xbox...

Hard to know what to say Tara but presumably upsetting you is precisely what whoever it was wanted, can you get angry instead?
