... I find myself on a mad dash to do things during her naps (she's on a nap right now ;) ) which is tiring me out :( All she wants to do is stand and this morning stood by herself unaided for a full 3 seconds  HELP!

We are not crusing but Benjamin is still getting into everything! I am trying to make the most of any self-feeding time - toast and pear this morning...Benjamin has now been sat in his highchair for about an hour and I have managed to catch up on here, load the dishwasher, wash down the kitchen surfaces, do a bit of ironing and have a quick tidy around the living room.

I am also finding that I need to take Benjamin around the house with me to do housework. Cheapo portable high chair and bumbo to the rescue! Although he will escape his bumbo anytime soon!! If I keep up a constant tirade of singing / talking / being silly it keeps him occupied and prevents screaming if I leave him for 2 seconds.

I also make the most of CBeebies when I know that there are a few programmes that he likes together - new fave is Waybuloo!

Buttons - she turned 8 months a few days ago :D The HV seemed surprised she was so mobile when I took her to be weighed last thursday. Which reminds me.....does anyone else weigh their LO on the wii fit. Turns out LO is 3lbs lighter than the wii says she is!!!!! does that mean I am too?!

3 - did the local man who wanted you to sell him things for £30 win any of the items on ebay?

He did! But came and collected within half an hour and was friendly enough.
The item he won went for £30.00. The other item he wanted was my bargain £7.99 Bumbo which sold for £27.33. And he wanted me to pull the listings and give me £30 for the two! Muppet.
But he said he was glad he didn't win the Bumbo as Mothercare were selling them for £25 including play tray?!? (Not sure how true this was - i'll check the website now.

ETA: Ok, not quite £25.00 but £31.99 - if anyone is looking for one. http://www.mothercare.com/Bumbo-baby-sitter-play-tray/dp/B002HEU9QC/sr=1-2/qid=1255339713/ref=sr_1_2/277-8172095-3244000?_encoding=UTF8&m=A2LBKNDJ2KZUGQ&n=42764041&mcb=core

Re Cruising/Standing - I have absolutely no advice, but we are at the exact same stage. She's driving me mad, she 'needs' to be standing all of the time.

Am I the only one who uses formula or EBM to make porridge??

I use full fat for mixing food - but I always have full fat in for the big two anyway, although they probably don't need it any more.

MFD - highchairs are amazing aren't they! LO hates her bumbo so that's been put away. It was great when she was younger so I'd still recommend them to others.... LO loves ITNG and it gives me some respite :D The other thing we found useful on saturday was letting her follow us around in her walker - she doesn't feel too trapped in it and she happily scouts around the hall in it.

I'm with you on the silly singing/dancing etc. I must look really funny a lot of the time!

LO has lots of lovely toys, but her current favourite are milk pint cartons, washed out and filled with lentils, peas, rice and pasta to make shakers. She can't get enough of them! I'd recommend you all make some :D

See I never bothered with a bumbo, We used to have a footstool type thing that was part of the sofas, and the lid lifted up so you could store things inside, well it was on wheels, so I used to prop her against that, and put cushions all around her incase she toppled, lol. Cheapskate me.

You can get the trays for about £9.95 from ebay. I found it handy for when she was slightly bigger - it kept her trapped in the bumbo when she was trying to escape! ;) And very handy for weaning - I'd sit her in the bumbo, on the table while we were eating so she could join us.

Carla, I asked a while ago and the general consensus was that it was worth it :) I've been watching some on eBay but when you add in the postage, they secondhand ones have been selling for more than a brand new one from Amazon, £9.99 with free delivery!

Morning again all :D Went back to bed for a while. I don't think Rhys actually went back to sleep cos I woke up to him bashing my face (seemed to be trying to wake me up cos he did it every time I tried closing my eyes again!) and beeming at me :D

Consultant's appointment later this afternoon and maybe a walk to the post office in the meantime. I've only just taken Rhys' sleeping bag off him and he's whinging cos he was so cosy! :o
