3 - did the local man who wanted you to sell him things for £30 win any of the items on ebay?

em - in tescos I compared tesco own ready brek with the branded version - the contents were the same and the own brand was way cheaper. LO hasn't noticed the difference - neither has my very brand-loving DH :D

ooooh before i go, i keep meaning to ask - does porridge freeze ok if i make a huge batch for seth in advance? i am wanting to make up loads with some fruit in, and cos i never have full fat milk in my house. it would go off at the rate it gets used for seths ready brek! was also thinking porridge pureed slightly would be even more :money: than ready brek?

Am I the only one who uses formula or EBM to make porridge??

That's a very good theory but it's every day that she misses him. And it's not just when he's just gone out - sometimes it's the afternoon.

katie is exactly the same with her daddy!! asks for him allll day long. i think its just a daddy & his little girl bond?

moan alert (feel free to tell me to be quiet) LO can now pull herself up on all the furniture, my legs regardless of whether I am sitting or standing, the toy basket, her front of her pushalong, the cot etc. She can also cruise around the furniture. I left the room yesterday to pop the kettle on. By the time I got back (about a minute as I wasn't waiting on it boiling) she had crossed the room and pawing at the television! The room is as baby safe as we can make it but it's so exhausting. I have to take her everywhere with me and she is getting frustrated that she can't do more. We tried the travel cot as a playpen but it just ellicited screaming as did being left in her cot for 15 minutes. The weekend was ok as DH and I could take it in turns to play/watch her meaning I could at least get somethings done, but I find myself on a mad dash to do things during her naps (she's on a nap right now ;) ) which is tiring me out :( All she wants to do is stand and this morning stood by herself unaided for a full 3 seconds  HELP!

i remember that stage well. it is frustrating at times...but it gets easier.
    Carla-Farla!! :)

Does anyone else's child really miss their dad when they're out at work? Alice is always saying that she's "Crying for Daddy" or "Sad for Daddy" when he's out at work.".

LO really missed her daddy when he went back to work after our holiday and often on a monday (as I do too!). However I've never seen anyone so excited to see someone as she is when he gets in from work. It's so cute. I think Alice must be a 'daddy's girl'!

It really is. I actually did take Alice to Ikea last week just for the fun of it. (I never thought I'd go to a shop for fun!) She likes to have tea parties in all the "rooms".

Annabel likes Ikea as there are always lots of people to watch. I like taking her there as a change of scene - the freebie coffee with our family card and the freebie plum blueberry baby food! I often meet another mummy friend there for coffee it's getting a bit boring (and hard work for us) always being at each others houses. I'm finding I need a change of scene more often these days!

:j Alice just went and sat on the potty without being told. Usually if she needs it, she tells me and then I have to tell her to go and sit on the potty.

    congratulations Alice :D

R.mac - How old is LO? Keira was cruising at about 7/8months and properly walking by the 10th, no rest for the wicked. Luckily we have a small pokey flat but she still managed mischief. Her favorite thing was turning the tv channels on the tv, or putting the volume up and down, we put panel lock on and then she threw the remote in the bin!

Em - Have fun at the childminders and nanas house! I always get sweeties at my nanas, or vodka at the other ones :p

Horrible day here, I hate rain! Mainly because I don't have a coat! Think we are going to the pub over the road for lunch today, I had my sister staying over last night too, I got hardly any sleep, but wriggly! I attempted to french plait keiras hair last night and she looks sooooo cute with it, but they are a bit hazardous, it's hard!!

Susan - Keira used to cry for her dad, and ask where he was ALL the time, around the age of 2, I think its because before that he had been laid off from work so was around the house a lot then all of a sudden he was gone for huge chunks of the day. She still asks every morning, I just tell her he's at work and she says "Oh okay"
