Ok guys...another topic to throw into the mis. it's not particularly cold in my flat but it is a bit cooler (i now have to put a dressing gown on instead of being nuddy!) and when i put tom to bed cos he's on his own until we go to bed it's quite cool in there. He used to wear a vest but now he's in a baby grow, a fleece blanket doubled over and a very light moses basket duvet (which doesn't cover him all over - just to keep his feet warm if they poke out.) Do you think that's warm enough for a little baby. He refuses to keep his arms under the blanket and as he's had the sniffles I don't want him getting ill again yet.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

Breakfast is the most important meal though...does that rule apply for babies too? I would check with HV before you do. You wouldn't want to take out the only meal that she is actually eating at IYSWIM. If she like breakfast stuff have you tried giving her porridge or weetabix for other meals?
If she likes sweet stuff there are some AK recipes that include sweet things (BN Squash and Pear springs to mind).
today is the first day she ate quite a good breakfast. she normally isn't too fussed. i guess i will think about it some more, it was just that breakfast strangely was the last meal i introduced, as we started with dinner and lunch.
i am not an eater in the morning , so need to make sure i dont pass that onto her.
i might go done the 'bread' route and get some crumptets or muffins in and see how that goes as she does like toast when she's in the mood.0 -

Good grief people, don't you sleep?? I'm half conscious here, but still 'researching' party ideas for his birthday next week.
Right, syringe has same effect as spoon. Like I'm trying to kill him.
I like the idea of milk bottle, except he's on a near hunger strike atm. There's a nice bottle of milk with honey on his nightstand. Untouched.
Ooh, I hate it when he's ill! He keeps waking up for little cries and coughs.
Sooooo tired......:wall:0 -

I know I'm never here anymore, but I have much napping to catch up on when Himself is asleep (pregnant again), so never on the computer anymore.
But. A few weeks ago he was teething and after one dose of calpol he refused to have any more drugs, so suffered for four or five days. But now he's ill, hacking cough and now a fever. And refusing any medication. Forcing him just gets us all covered in gloop. How can I give him medicine?? He's like a furnace right now, bless him, and I don't like it.
PS - Hi everyone
congratulations :j:jMadDogWoman wrote: »Agutka - are you using a medicine spoon? Have you tried him with a medicine syringe? From being little to only recently that was the only way DD would take anything as it just went straight down her throat.
Congratulations on your BFP.
