Freak out question and TMI warning! When I went to the loo earlier this afternoon I passed a large lump of what looked like rotting meat from foof! Not a clot I don't think, though I've been passing a few of those too. Phoned my normal doc in a bit of a panic but he's on holiday for 2 weeks. His locum thinks it might be an infection as bleeding is heavier this week and more smelly than it has been, and has prescribed antibiotics to get me through the weekend and will see me on Monday if not better. Never had anything like this, and feeling decidedly unnerved by it (and quite grossed out too!) Not asking for medical advice as seeing doc on Monday anyway, but if this has happened to anyone else would feel less spooked!0

its like adult clothes though elle some are baggier than others
plenty of seths short sleeved 3-6 t shirts still fit him ok, its just the long sleeved 3-6 ones that look silly now, although he has a 3-6 jumper which is still perfect
OH put 3-6 trousers on him the other day and rolled them up so they looked like shorts???? :rotfl:
right, justr been and had alook, the outfit is bhs 10lb, the blue thick vests are tu (sainsburys i think?) 9.9lb and the white vests are primarche 7.5lb
why are they all so different?!
Rolling up trousers legs is very-MSE!(only assuming he's not going to freeze his ankles off!)
We're definitely out of 7.5lb vests - when you do the poppers up, his shoulders get pulled down! :rotfl: Will PM younewmoneysaver wrote: »Oh thats strange, I find Asda clothes tend to be a bit bigger, so Liam tends to be wearing Asda first size still and Tesco 0-3 months ish. Most of his clothes are still newborn/first size (upto 9lb) but we are slowly moving into 0-3months.
Rhys is long and thin with no bum (like his mum!). I think Asda's 6lb vests were wider than the Tesco 7.5lb ones, but it's the length we had trouble with :cool:Tigsteroonie wrote: »Think mine will be the same :rotfl: I tried to sort out all the clothes I'd got into label sizes, but they were such a mis-match (one shop's "early" was as big as another's "newborn") that I ended up sorting them by chest size instead.
Bought cute "tiny baby" vests in Asda just now
Andrew's been started on cup-feeding, which he's taking to pretty well. I had another go at BF and think he did manage to latch once (judging by the sensation). He was certainly much happier today when faced with boobie - different shower gel this morning (lemon rather than lime) - so I'm optimistic for the next few days.
That reminds me, we have another three sleeveless tiny baby vests here, BNIPCame to us via OH's cousin who's LO was 9lb when he came out! Do you need more? Fairies can send
Rhys wasn't very successful with cup feeding which led to them being very pessamistic about his success at breastfeeding and (partially) contributed to him being bottle-fed (they obviously never saw that he'd achieve breastfeeding too, eventually), so that's a really good sign that Andrew's doing well with it

When did you give birth nicki? Not meaning to scare you but I had the exact same thing about 7 days after having Keira teh blood got super minging smelling, I mean it was like ROTTING, and I would literally have a shower, be clean, and OH could smell it off me when I walked into the room. We'd have a nap together, we'd get up and pull the covers back and the stench was unreal. They had left placenta in me and I had to be hooked up to an IV for about 5 days, getting antibiotics. I only knew because one afternoon, I got the worst pain ever in my stomach, felt like what I imagine being stabbed repeatedly in the gut felt like.
If it gets super smelly, like so smelly you can smell it off yourself then please phone the NHS or go back to the maternity hospital, because honestly, the pain is worse than pushing a baby out your cooch,, and I had big clots of placenta falling out me.0 -
Maybe I've been missing a trick here, but can I sign OH up to the Tesco Baby Club as well as me already being registered? (ETA: And my mum too, or is that just being really cheeky?!)
Got some vouchers from them today - sparked off because I changed Rhys' DOB to his actual one rather than his EDD I assume - and they're valid until 30th April 2010!0 -
Speaking of animals, does anyone have any tips for ensuring your child is not scared of animals even if you don't have any yourself? Alice is absolutely crazy about animals from a distance but is a bit nervous when they get close to her.
I introduced DD to ponies whilst we were away last weekend, at first DH held her whilst I stroked them, with lots of smiles etc. After about 10 minutes and finding one that wasn't too tall she was happy to stroke a nose with mummy kneeling next to her helping.
We have a dog and 3 cats so isn't fussed by them. She loves rabbits and guinea pigs too and was in heaven when we were in Devon as she got to cuddle and feed a guniea pig.
Show Alice that it's ok to stroke animals and that as long as she is gentle and not too rowdy the animals will be happy. It may be a case of perservance and lots of exposure.
