sami, neither of them said congratulationsThey are in many ways good people and good parents, but my news is their news if you see what I mean. It's all about what they feel about it rather than what I feel about it.
I'm sure they are happy it will just take awhile for it to sink in - it was probably the last thing they imagined you telling them.
I pooed myself telling my dad that I was pregnant - bearing in mind I was 25, have a fab job, have been with OH for almost 10 years and own my own house (well mortgaged) - he was very blaise about it and said 'can you afford it?' 'will u go back to work' etc etc. Within 2 days, I was getting texts asking how I was? Was I looking after his grandchild by eating properly? etc. Anyone that knows my Dad knows this is completely out of character - seeing his face when he met Jack the other week was priceless he was so proud and chuffed and I get daily texts asking for updates.
Give them time to let it settle in and I;m sure they'll come aroundA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

My friend is being transferred to same hospital as him tomorrow, wont be on same ward, but at least in same hospital. Offered to go see her tonight, have a chat, but she has her family coming over and has asked me to leave it until tomorrow afternoon/evening when there may not be someone there.
She sent me a pic of Isaac and he looks so gorgeous. got lotsa dark black hair and def looks like his daddy!! hehe. He was 5' 4oz and 52 cms - same length as my boy, but a good 2 1/2 lb lighter!!chopsticks wrote: »I was tempted to put 5ml in Caitlin's (dosage is 2.5ml for 2-3 month olds and 2.5ml-5ml for three months plus) as she'll be 13 weeks on Sun and three months date-wise on Mon but then thought I'd better not.
whats difference is a couple days going to make!??money_maker wrote: »Does this sound too cheeky ??
Hi, I am sorry that these items cost you extra to post, however it is the sellers responsibility to ensure that the correct postage is listed for the sale. Northern Ireland does not cost extra for 1st class postage. I do not feel that I need to pay for a seller mistake.
Thank You

they came round to the idea after a while, and now complain if they dont see him every few days!!

I was 20 and had just bought a house with Chris, so was really scared I wouldnt be able to cope, all I wanted was my mum and dad to say everything would be OK and congratulations
Funny though, mum never said congrats, but the day I told her, she came round to my house with a set of Christie towels for the babyThink that was her way of being there
