Sorry guys - I really didn't mean to start the great weaning debate
I get enough criticism for letting Benjamin eat all kinds (chilli, spicy pasta etc) that I know what it is like for someone to disapprove. I was just a bit upset...

mfd - sorry hun missed your post last night about saying how difficult weaning is. i am at a loss at the minute as bubs is not wanting to eat anything. she had maybe two spoonfuls at lunch and one at dinner. to be fair she is just over that virus but now seems to have a cold so i know that is why she isnt eating. going to be hard to get back into the swing of things when she feels better.
Is there anything that she will eat? Porridge? Fromage Frais? I would just load her up with anything that she will eat for now. Will she have a fish finger or 2?
had a lovely day with some mum friends but during a chat with the HV and the same mum friends i broke down as we were talking about the sleep probs we are having. just feel so stupid. i keep so much in and tried so hard, but it was talking about that and something else that tipped me over to cry in public (something which is usually reserved for the bedroom or bath!!)
xx
I think it is ace that you had a cry! Good for you! I know you usually keep it all in but it is letting go occasionally that makes us human. Do you feel better for actually saying it all?
LOL - hubby is just watching Bucks Fizz on Loose Women that I taped for him the other day (because it was so bl00dy awful :rotfl:)please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
AF - hugs to you sweetie. Don't worry about crying. I did it to my health visitor too and about sleep problems. Sleep deprivation is the worst isn't it.
We lead parallel lives, my LO has a cold and gone off her food a bit too. I have to confess to just sticking with what I know she'll eat and on the hard days and waiting for a good mood for trying different things. Some days I think she refuses my offerings just because she knows I spent ages preparing somehting especially for her!r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
running in with a quick question and gonna catch up aftr friend leaves....(question is for said friend)
she has just had a baby, and is going to get him registered tomorrow. her boyfriend (babies father) does not have a job and is currently classed as homeless - he is living between parents (who are seperated) and friends houses. I was showing her Christophers bc, and she noticed that on the long bc is both parents name, job title and address. queue panicking; what will they put on the fathers bit of the job and address? she doesnt want him to be on it if it says homeless or the like. if anyone has a clue we would be most grateful as i havent a baldy!!!Carla-Farla!!

Nope - but you bl00dy should do
Did you know that song was the first dance at my wedding? Hubby picked it! We hadn't planned to do one but our guests refused to get up an dance before we did () and we had spent a fortune on a band that were about to get going
Not a bad choice for a man - he clearly has great tasteplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Carla, they put whatever you tell them for the job title and address, does he have a previous address he could use? or his parents address?
I put my previous job title on both girls birth certificates and marriage certificate... Didn't really want housewife on them(and it was the registrars suggestion too)

MFD = that was my thought, but unfortunately she has other ideas. yoghurts are unfortunately no go at the minute. she loves them, but she then throws up on and off for the rest of the day. nothing is taking her fancy at the minute, not even custard which is what she does love.
as for the crying, i managed to control myself and not let it go too far. i feel good for talking to the HV about it (and the two other mums, although i have been in reg. contact with one of them about it over the last week as they are going through the same thing). HOWEVER, what the HV suggested we do, which i already know, just cant work for us at the minute. i'm not making excuses, cause i'd do it in heartbeat if i could, but i am going to make a few slight adjustments to what i do now and stick with that. i guess she will sleep through when she is ready.
i love what you feed B. i think it's brilliant. dont know why people should criticise you. he's happy and healthy so two fingers i say.
and where's our latest pic you promised :-)

He does have good taste...
Our first dance was to the song on the plane in the wedding singer... But the song we class as our wedding song is Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol... My friend sang it as we signed the register...
