Somebody tell me that you understand what I am saying....because I have said the same thing ten times to hubby and he still isn't listening.
I understand. We kind of had the opposite problem in our old house. We had Alice's on maximum and the rest on as low as they could be without being off and her's was still the coldest room.

Surely it's just the valve which is the problem which shouldn't be to hard to replace.

Yup, I understand.. When it's too hot here, I start fiddling with the boiler and turn the radiator heat down (we don't have individual controls on each radiator) then get told off when I start ranting that the hot water isn't hot enough when it turns out that's my fault cos I've been fiddling with the wrong bit :o

PS, I've been meaning to ask you all for views on gender-specific toys and clothes.

    Quick poll are you:

    a) gonna give boys a toy kitchen and girls a train set
    b) see what LO gravitates towards
    c) max out on the girlie stuff for girls and boy stuff for boys

obviously, most of us are a combination, but interesting to see what you mostly are drawn to.

Also: Gender-specific clothing, do you like

    a) anything very neutral, so others more guess the sex of your LO
    b) lots of slogans like 'mummy's little princess'/'mummy's cheeky monkey'
    c) bit of pinkness or blueness but not too hot on the slogans etc...

    Thanks for any thoughts :)

I think I've gone on about Chris's pram and tea set enough already :D he is spoiled rotten! he loves pink and often choses the pink option over others, I just enjoy it because I assume it won't last long :(

I dress him in trendy obviously boy stuff :o

Ed is a mixture of things, I love babies in cream/beige and lemon so he has those plus bright and boyish styles, he mostly is in dungerees and rompers, I hate having to pull shirst dow all the time so everything is all in one :)

  • The [STRIKE]arguing[/STRIKE] conversations about the temperature have kind of surpassed discussing mending the radiator at the moment. I will get BIL to look at it next week and see if I can get it sorted before the divorce :rotfl:

Tia - you are a star - thanks hun!!!

    hi everyone,

elle - can you thank your fairies for me. the mag they delivered was very helpful and there are some links i am going to look into. can i just also say,, re what you said about your mum, i think you an amazing mum. as you say, all the meds etc, they are rhys' normal and therefore your normal. i struggle to make the bus in time let alone remembering all appointments, questions to ask etc. big smooches to you and rhys from us xxx

motm - nice to hear from you. glad you got a lovely sum of backdated funds and your monthly payments are chunky. you deserve it!!!

mfd - i just sometimes give up trying to understand my hubby. it hurts my brain to much. i always say i'd love to live a day in his brain just to see what it's like so i might understand how he works better.

sleeping - i am having success in getting LO to go off on her own (albeit with me sometimes singing and patting her so i am not sure if this really counts) but she is still waking nearly every hour after an initial two hour stint. she is not hungry so i know it's not that. i know she's teething which doesn't help. last night i managed to keep her in the crib until 5.30am. i had been trying to settle her since 4.30am and couldn't take it any longer as i am full of cold and was tired. she snuggled into my arms, hand on my boob and she was off.

just wondering know if her period of sleepoing during the night will extend now she is going off on her own and can settle herself to some extent.

but he's a sweaty lil thing with 2 layers and I'd still keep pulling the top over it down :p this is why he has an all in one pram suit thing too, he was in a cardi (not jazzy sadly) today and it did my head in always riding up!!

I had something to say but you've distracted me now :naughty::D
