Oh Weezl, that's aimed at Mum's who try to cut the costs of feeding the baby and give them cows milk... 1 Emergency bottle of milk won't hurt him... It's not like he's having 3 bottles a day of it :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

PS, I've been meaning to ask you all for views on gender-specific toys and clothes.

    Quick poll are you:

    a) gonna give boys a toy kitchen and girls a train set
    b) see what LO gravitates towards
    c) max out on the girlie stuff for girls and boy stuff for boys

obviously, most of us are a combination, but interesting to see what you mostly are drawn to.

Also: Gender-specific clothing, do you like

    a) anything very neutral, so others more guess the sex of your LO
    b) lots of slogans like 'mummy's little princess'/'mummy's cheeky monkey'
    c) bit of pinkness or blueness but not too hot on the slogans etc...

    Thanks for any thoughts :)

    weezl,

I was just reading the thread about a lady wanting a hoover, iron and ironing board for her little boy.. :)

We'll see what Rhys likes, but before he starts stating a preference he'll probably be bought things like emergency vehicles rather than non-descript cars as OH is a fireman. He already has several toy fire engines that my parents bought him before he was born!

Most of his clothes are clearly boys clothes as a lot are blue or have dinosaurs or safari animals on (rather than pretty "girly" hearts and flowers). We have a few "I love Mummy/Daddy" tops and sleepsuits (I dress him in them when he's being a pest just to remind me he loves me really! :o) and a "Grandad's little helper" one for when he's older but nothing prince/monster/monkey because we don't call him names like that (but if anyone sees one with toad, ratbag or sausage on, please let me know! :o:D).

    eve???????????? tia why eve? x

Thats the name we [STRIKE]I[/STRIKE] picked for her when I was pregnant. And because she wasn't named for a week, I was secretly calling her Eve when she was in special care. DH picked Amber and (don't ever tell him) I don't really think it suits her, but he was so happy at picking a name for his baby girl!:rotfl:

I'm sure you're right :A and it was just a one-off, but I was thinking of this kind of advice from Kellymom:

I think he will be ok with one drink! :rotfl:I really can't see one cow's milk feed overloading his kidneys somehow so stop worrying.

Aww, thats not fair! Will your DH think of doing bath bottle bed? Mine owuld just sit there all night and then say 'I was waiting for you/didn't realise the time/what you mean I've got to do it

He came up, popped his head round the door and asked if I'd get Daniel undressed while he sorted out the bath. LO is now having his
bottle and then bed only an hour later than normal.... Never mind

We're sat watching Mastermind, I don't really listen to the 1st specialist bits
but I like the general knowledge bit, it's about the only bit of work my baby addled brain gets at the moment :rotfl:

Elle - I can understand a bit what you were saying earlier. Everyone keeps saying in a really surprised way how well i'm coping and how I'm good with him. Mum says it is just that I look so happy with him, but I think its because they all thought Id collapse in a big heap (like I did in the beggining but that wasn't baby related, that was other stuff).

    Weezl,

re toys I'll wait to see what he gravitates too? Growing up I never really had dolls as I was the only girl and my parents didn't have a lot of money so we'd all play cars or something!!

As for clothes he has a few neutral outfits but mainly he has definite boys clothes, most of vests, sleepsuits are neutral though. He has a few "mummy" slogan tops but no "daddy" ones as DH doesn't like them.
