Gah.. I have one cheeky child! He was wailing at me but wouldn't breastfeed so I (gently!) ditched him on his changemat and went to get a bottle. He stopped crying so I ignored him for a while, then picked him up to give him his bottle. Told him "I'm not going to be your friend if you keep crying at me" and he just gave me the biggest cheeky grin, and couldn't drink his bottle properly cos he was too busy smiling and gurgling :rolleyes:0 -

Em, it's one thing having a child you want to see and the mother blocking access (my sister does this with her son and I have made my feelings on the subject very known!)... It's another thing being the mother of a child who's other parent doesn't want to know... When you try every avenue to get that person to take an interest in your child, the very centre of your universe and the only other person in the world who should feel the same way as you couldn't give a wotsit wether they're there or not it is absolutely soul destroying... And when that 3 year old looks you in the eye and says 'Why doesn't my Daddy want to come and see me?' What would you say? I told Aimee he was being silly... It was about the only thing I could say that was not putting any emphasis on the fact he couldn't care less that she exists, without making her feel like she's done something wrong whilst at the same time not making him out to be the complete b@stard that he is... At the end of the day I can hold my head up and say I did everything I could on her behalf to get him to take an interest and I have never said a bad thing about him to her...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

...... and I was on the phone making an appointment to get the monster's US passport application sorted and acquired a case of the loudest hiccups ever.
The monster's sleeping in her bouncer and whenever I hiccup she does the Moro reflex. It would be funny if I wasn't so afraid she'd wake up.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I had my boys in with the Childminder yesterday and as I was saying last night I am unsure about it all......
Anyway after speaking to someone today who pulled her children out of her care after a couple of 'situations' I have decided I am going to put them nursery and after school club....Trouble is I have signed the contract yesterday too, will I need to give her loads of notice or should there be some kind of cooling off period that I can go on?
Mel x
I meant to reply to this yesterday as its been playing on my mind. I'm not sure whether your contract should say whether theres a cooling off period.
Mine has a load of small print at the back and says ' a 2 to 4 weeks settling-in period is recommended at the start of the agreement. During this time no notice period or notice payment will be required if either party wishes to end the agreement but all other areas of the contract are applicable.'
Its atleast something that your older boys can tell you that Kai was unhappy and they were bored. I believe i've found the right childminder for us but I will never know if my baby is unhappy there unless the childminder tells me. I would much rather she was honest with me though and I could never trust someone that lied/played down the truth. You never know what she might try to hide from you in future.
For what its worth, I think its the right decision to take them out of her care.
