    Thank you :)

Very Best Friend won't see the dust, but might suffocate on the drifts of cat hair :o I can't vacuum cause Husband's sleeping, so once the monster's finished feeding and is clean I'll do some tidying.

Stick baby in pram, send VBF off to get acquainted with baby and the local park for an hour and then blitz it whilst they are gone ;)

VBF will adore being put in charge so soon!!

I don't know what to do with myself. Alice went for a nap at 11.20 (that's what comes of not napping yesterday and being up for an hour in the night) so will need lunch when she wakes up. I've got lots of kitchen jobs to do but I want to do them while the plum jam is going and I can't start that now because Alice could wake up anytime and I can't just stop for lunch etc. in the middle of the jam.

There's no escaping it.. I'm going to have to ask OH to teach me to use his camera (it's better than mine) and then get taking photos for eBay.. :o I've simply got too much stuff to fit back in everywhere and I'm (really, this time!) fed up of being surrounded by all the things I've been meaning to eBay

Grouch-bag is finally asleep in his bouncer.. :(

Btw, don't suppose anyone has got the Cosatto Hogarth cotbed and wants to measure the space beneath it for me, do they? :o Ours is still flatpack in boxes (not being put up until Rhys' room is done) but I think I'm going to end up with boxes under his cot too..

IM SICK OF THAT BULLY B@STARD KID AT KEIRAS NURSERY!

Standing at the bus stop, and they turned up, the bully and his mum, and another mum and her kid, and both boys started being horrible to Keira, the other mum told her kid to say sorry which he did, and I don't mind that kid to be honest, sure he can be a bit mean but so can most kids, but that bully takes the flippin biscuit. He went right up to Keira's face and said I DONT LIKE YOU and then poked her in the eye! HOW BLOODY DARE HE! I was fuming and his mum was telling him off, then the bus came and I could hear him from behind saying to the other little boy "LETS GET KEIRA, I WANT TO PULL HER HAIR" WHAT THE HELL?!!

Gets off the bus and he yet again starts saying nasty things to her (I mean the kid is 4, Keira has never done that to someone else? I didn't know kids could be so mean at 4!) So anyways Keira ran ahead and got to the entrance and I said YEY YOU BEAT ME, YOU WIN! And then he came running past and said NO SHES A LOSER, and Keira was obviously like MUMM IM NOT A LOSER, and he was like yes you are, so I had enough and told him that Keira said he was really ugly and pooped his pants. So he started crying. HAH TAKE THAT!

    God im childish.

:rotfl::rotfl:Ha I love it, i hope nobodys nasty to jake next week! one of my friends little boys is always pushing him around and he's only just started sticking up for himself so i think he'l b a bit soft at first,
  • Hi everyone :)
Glad people have had sleep all round, so you all sound rather cheery today !!

Physio went really well today, she is really pleased with his progress, but feels that he would benefit from hydrotherapy, so has sent a referral to his pediatrician to see if we can start it :):) Cant wait, other than the fact I need to be in a cossie with him in the pool :(
If he is allowed, we start in 4 weeks, how much weight can I lose in 4 weeks ???????

Anyway, thats beside the point, my baby is improving loads, and he opens his hands loads now, still not for very long, but enough that we know he can do it !! Also he can hold his head still for a few mins now too, which is fantastic !!

Took me a while to catch up, post this and now I need to go get Jas from school, will be back on later
    ((hugs)) to all :)

This is only my second time (first being yesterday) so I can only say that plum jam is easy. Equipment I used was knife and board to destone plums, pan to cook it in, scales to weigh plums and sugar, spoon to stir with, ladle and jam funnel to put it into jars, steamer to sterilise the jars (but normally people do it in the oven) and jars to put the jam in. The only special thing was the jam funnel which I had already but OH said his mum doesn't use a jam funnel and just uses a cup to scoop it out and pour in the jars. I just googled and looked at recipes until I found one I liked which was simple.

  • Do you not need a thermometer to check the temperature of the jam Susan?
