Managed to speak to HR...
They are saying they'll still give me the enhanced part of my mat pay, it's just the SMP that's in jeopardy! Not sure whether to get my hopes up cos the guy seemed unsure, but maybe a bit quietly yay! :j
Sami, I'm so glad you feel more rested, does that mean ed-gah ;)is sleeping more?
xxx
*quiet little hopeful yey!*
Edgar sleeps wonderfully if I put him to bed after his 9/10pm feed he'll go until 6am but I usually stay downstairs cuddling himbut last night I was a good girl and put him to bed after feeding him at about 11:30 and he slept until 7:30 when Chris woke him up.
Chris woke me up in the loveliest way too! he'd got in bed with me and I was woken by him giving me a big squeezey cuddle :smileyhea
Now I know this may not be the full story but sounds like a tragic accident (possibly with a touch of poor judgment/parenting) not something to sue for? http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20090923/tuk-boy-four-dies-in-somerfield-supermar-45dbed5.html

i was wondering about maybe biting the bullet and getting a m+p dreampod, they are £30 but they are bogof atm and go right up to 18months so IMO are actually not too bad value, thats if they last that long getting washed and worn pretty much every day
Hi,
I bought dreampods for dd2 and they still looked good once she had grown out of them (although she is almost 5 now - I am not sure if they still make them the same way iykwim? If you are buying direct from m&p I think you can get a £5 discount if you register on the website - not sure if they are still doing that offer though)
gtg dd3 is hungry...0 -
Morning all..
Fairly alright night here.. for the first time in a while Rhys went down quickly after his middle of the night feed which was niceThis morning he's just being screamy again
Currently lying on his change mat, kicking, groaning and watching Homes Under The Hammer
One of the nurses from the Unit has been in touch. At the time when we were asked for a resus decision, she told us about a speaker she'd seen who was born in similar circumstances to Rhys who has CP but lives a full life. There is now a local discussion group (about the meaning of life) starting that she thinks we (or rather OH) might be interested in. Starts next Tuesday when my parents are out for the night so I can't go, but I think OH is going to go and I'll go the week after if he still wants to. He'll probably get more out of it cos his family are quite "spiritual" whereas I'm definitely not, but we'll see.. I get the impression the nurse doesn't realise Rhys is turning out to be much better than expected, but she mentioned she'd like to see him so we've invited her (and the rest of them) round to the house so they can see him for themselves
Cold here so just waiting for the heating to kick in and warm me up before I find the motivation to get dressed and get on with something productive..
weezl - *small hopeful yay*
Sami - thankyou.. silly me, had some of those but I Freecycled them  They wouldn't fit now cos there's a rail halfway down, hence looking at the shorter one.
Beccles - sorry, didn't explain right.. my wardrobe is now in Rhys' room. We had to change the room layout of our room to fit the crib in so we're sharing my wardrobe in his room for now0 -
((hugs)) AM he sounds like an idoit x
Still searching .....:)

I have sent them a polite email saying that as a breastfeed baby who is baby led weaning we are probably not the best choice of tester...
...just a small white lie (we are only part BLW) but probably more diplomatic than saying that I think that the product is disgusting and that she should send it to some chav that wants to put baby rice in the babys bottle at 3 weeks
That's awful!
Good luck contacting them, I get sent the TT Nuby (sp) which is designed to replicate a breast, but as I'm FF I sent them an email to say i didn't think it was an appropriate item for me to test. I haven't have any form of reply :mad:0 -
i'm currently browsing ebay for another to add to the collection :rotfl:

Benjamin LOVES Homes Under The HammerI think that it is all the music they put in (their music editor is fab!! Always has a perfect song lined up!) ...which of course often makes Mummy sing
One of the nurses from the Unit has been in touch... she mentioned she'd like to see him so we've invited her (and the rest of them) round to the house so they can see him for themselves
How nice are you!!! Can I come round?
I knew I shouldn't have said anything about Benjamin sleeping 7 til 6 recently. Last night he woke me at 1am and 5am
Keeping my mouth shut in future.

My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »Wouldn't be a proper post without a pooping question!! I know that this is probably related but Benjamin really seems to strain to poo. He does poo but it can be a little like rabbit droppings sometimes...do you think upping his water will be enough or perhaps a teeny bit of very diluted juice would be an option.
Hi,
You brought back memories of dd1 turning herself purple when she had to go  I was advised to drink orange juice (I was bf) then when she was past 4 months she had a little bit of orange juice added to some water <although she is 8 now - so this is probably out of date advice ;)> It did help though...
Can I ask a couple of questions please?
Does anyone have a microwave steraliser? are they any good? I have been steralising by the traditional method of shoving everything in boiling water then rinsing off with cold  (pump/soothers/etc) but I think it is making the nipple sheilds lose their shape - I don't really need/want a big steraliser but thought this might be an option - unless anyone has any other ideas?
A bit random I know, has anyone seen any age 8 plain grey t-shirts (long or short sleeved) on their travels? ds needs it for a mouse costume for harvest festival... I was in town yesterday and completly forgot to look - until after I had picked up the troops from school
