When we call in the Unit they only ever see him snuggled up in his car seat so don't get the full idea of how much and how freely he moves and his head control, so it'd be nice for them to see him with his own toys here
Can I come round?
Any time you have the misfortune to be on this side of the country you're more than welcome0 -

OH said not to let him see Aston because he will just mess him up, I agree but am still torn......
Aston needs someone who'll be there when HE needs them not when they feel like it. your OH sounds like a much better influence on him anyway
5 kids by 5 women... methinks someone needs to learn how to used a condomis he paying CSA?

ChasingButterflies wrote: »Does anyone have a microwave steraliser? are they any good? I have been steralising by the traditional method of shoving everything in boiling water then rinsing off with cold  (pump/soothers/etc) but I think it is making the nipple sheilds lose their shape - I don't really need/want a big steraliser but thought this might be an option - unless anyone has any other ideas?
I have the Tommee Tippee Microwave one - it's usually half price in the Asda baby event (which is on now) It's the only thing I've used, so nothing to compare it to, but it's easy to use, clean bottles, shove em in, stick in micro for 8 mins, leave until needed

Good luck contacting them, I get sent the TT Nuby (sp) which is designed to replicate a breast, but as I'm FF I sent them an email to say i didn't think it was an appropriate item for me to test. I haven't have any form of reply
It took them 4 weeks to reply to me about my missing nipple nurture. Apparently it was sent to someone else by mistake. I think it was Tia. They've said they will allocate me something else asap. Better not be your rejected Chav Spoon MFD.
A cuppa tea and then feed the baby, glad I have my priorities right!!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -
Morning all... Just a flying visit... Awful night here... Followed by Caitlyn's last jabs... She's asleep in the pram at the minute but I'm just off to move her to the bed and have 40 winks myself...
I saw a blu ray dvd recorder thingy in Asda last night ex display reduced to £56.... Is that enough of a bargain to pop back and see if they still have it and put up for Dave for christmas?A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Oh, AM... The bloke that got me pregnant the first time has had a million chances to see Aimee... He visited her about 4 times between christmas and her 3rd birthday (March) then fell off the face of the earth again... We bumped into him in town about 8 months later and he told me he'd been planning to call me the next day (funny that!) I ended up losing my rag and telling him he was no good as a father... If he were to knock on my door tomorrow and ask to see her I would say no... She has a very stable life now, as far as she is concerned Hubby is Daddy and I wouldn't want to disrupt that and end up with her being let down again... She knows about him... She still remembers him, but she accepts that he is a 'silly man' who doesn't come to visit any more... When she's big enough, I have enough information that she could track him down if she wanted to... But we'll cross that bridge in the future...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... A bit random I know, has anyone seen any age 8 plain grey t-shirts (long or short sleeved) on their travels? ds needs it for a mouse costume for harvest festival... I was in town yesterday and completly forgot to look - until after I had picked up the troops from school
tia(the rinsing in cold water basically means you may as well have just washed them like a normal dish etc.
you can either
boil everything for 5mins and wait for it to cool
get an electric steam steriliser (big and expensive)
microwave steam steriliser (my preferred method - cheap, small and quickest depending on your microwave's power)
cold water sterilised (milton)
I have the TT CTN micro steriliser as previously mentioned £10 in Asda baby event, it can also be used for cold water sterilising too0 -
I may cry before the day is out.
Husband is throwing up and shaking from exhaustion (no fever, hasn't eaten anything unpleasant).
Baby will only sleep an hour at most before waking and being a crank (see number 1 for the effect it had on Husband).
Man is coming later to fix our boiler, despite us explaining that it's already been fixed.
Emergency cleaner can only come on Saturday.
Very Best Friend is flying in tomorrow night.
Husband's friends are coming in by train Saturday lunchtime.
I've done two loads of laundry and put one load away (the other is drying), done the dishes, wiped the surfaces in the kitchen, organised the cleaner for Saturday morning, cancelled my social time for the afternoon, fed and settled the monster five times already and there's still so much to be done it's terrifying. I'm sitting down for a minute with some tea and a rather alarming breakfast of popcorn shrimp and chilli sauce (Operation: Clear the Freezer is in full swing).
*small hopeful yay!* for Weezl.
Hugs for Carla's best friend's little one.
:rotfl: @ Chav Spoon.
ChasingButterflies - we have a microwave steriliser and it seems to work fine. The monster's never got sick from non-sterile stuff, it takes up very little space and is fast and convenient, but I only use it 2-3 times a day after I express so if you were using it all the time it might be a PITA.
AM - he sounds like a warty bottom. Hopefully you can ignore him and he'll go away.
elle- I'm so glad Rhys is doing so well and hope your ex-nurse (?) is suitably impressed by him. It makes me happy every time you update.
