Thanks mm and em, I will go tomorrow to try and find them!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

A sniff and a lick is a good interest at this stage...Tigsteroonie wrote: »Define "an interest in my breasts" - he's still so small, when he's lying in the right position, my boobie is pretty much all he can see :rotfl: He kinda kissed them, perhaps he's practising for 18 years in the future :rotfl:
As for an "infant feeding co-ordinator"
All I had was the SCBU nurse who was looking after Andrew that day, nobody special. I kinda think I won't see anyone special unless I ask or appear to have problems. I want to have another go tomorrow as I know one of my favourite nurses is going to be on duty instead of a stranger.
And you should definitely ask to see the infant feeding co-ordinator, she's there specifically to give support to women and babies on the wards!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Oh, I remember now... I was going to have a little brag... Caitlyn rolled herself from her back to her front today right after baby massage in front of a couple of my friends... We all sat looking at her cheering in amazement
She really flipped herself, went over really quickly... Didn't get stuck on the underneath arm or anything... Bet it's another month before she tries again! A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... chopsticks wrote: »Hi all,
Have had a pants couple of days here, so haven't been on since yesterday morning. Will try and read back a bit tonight so I don't miss out on too much gossip.
Saw a stupid HV yesterday who told me "you're just looking for a reason to stop BF" when I mentioned Caitlin's bobbing on and off my boob and I wondered if it was hurting her gum where the tooth is coming through. !!!!!!. If I wanted to stop BF I would, but I don't.
Also, when I put Caitlin on the scales I said "ooh, let's see if you've hit the 11lb mark, shall we?" and she said "oh, is that cause for a celebration then?" really saracastically.
God, it sounds pathetic and like I'm really over-reacting when I type it now, but she really annoyed me, and with two really bad nights and trying to get sorted for our hol, I just feel bleugh.
:eek::eek: OMG Chopsticks! I would have walked out!
I would seriously think about complaining, or at the least enquiring about seeing another HV because you don't want to see that one again.
Mel - Benjamin dribbles loads but it's not so bad now he is crawling because he spends all his time on his front!! His clothes stay drier...it is just the carpet that is suffering now!
Could you ask them to wipe him more often? I just wipe Benjamin's dribbles up so he doesn't have to wear a bib all day.please listen to MFD - she is a wise woman

*pops off to check iplayer*just before I head bedwards for a bit of masterchef, thought the secret life of twins documentary at 9 on BBC1 might interest us, cos it seems to imply we parents don't reallly have too much responsibility for how kids turn out :rotfl:no not really, just looks good
Grrr iplayer says Crimewatch is on at 9 on BBC1.
I read a book about twins one time which said that identical twins who grow up separately are more similar than ones who grow up together. The theory is that those who are together deliberately do things differently in order to establish separate identities.
I don't think you're over-reacting - I'd be tempted to make a complaint if a HV made loads of sarcastic comments like that to me.chopsticks wrote: »it sounds pathetic and like I'm really over-reacting when I type it now, but she really annoyed me, and with two really bad nights and trying to get sorted for our hol, I just feel bleugh.
Alice took ages too - over 24 hours of attempting before she actually fed. A lot of the problem was the heat of the hospital making her fall asleep when I held her close but she also would latch on but not suck (but would suck your finger).My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »My first attempt wasn't very successful either... but nobody cared because he was a newborn and it can take a few attempts for them to get the idea that the booby is a milk machine
I'm not bragging, just saying that they are all the same when they first try, I just didn't have the pressure/expectation that you do.
