    Yay for Caitlyn!!

There seems to be some awful HV around at the moment. You would think they would realise the impact some of the things they say to parents have x
This is why I'm !!!!!! off that I'm not allowed to be a HV  you have to have previously worked as a nurse or MW first - why?!?!
I don't know of any other career that works like that??
I KNOW I could do it but I also KNOW I could never be a nurse or MW (I don't 'do' needles or blood, or putting my hand up foofs!!:rotfl:)
I would be a lovely HV, the kind that you all want :D

Amber was born on the 25th percentile and is now following the 9th so all I get is 'feed her, feed her, feed her'. :rolleyes:/QUOTE]

Tia Ruby goes between the 9th and 25th (mostly 9th) and she is 18 months old she is still in 9-12 mnth clothes and some of these are quite big but she is happy and healthy with a varied diet so I tend not to listen to the HV :)

Sami I think its LuT who subscribes to Which?

Ruby is finally in a bed time routine - still takes half an hour of handholding to go to sleep but she is sleeping all night in her own bed:T
Em - hope you are ok - you sound like you are having such a bad time.

Pink princess, the thing is, I know that! But it's every time I see anyone (HV, GP, different HV) all I get is how she is small (8 weeks old and only just the weight of the average newborn) and that I have to keep feeding her. grrrrr.... She is eating plenty tonight however! :D

MM, I can't think of anything interesting to txt, plus all the buttons are sticky so it takes ages to type anything!

I'm thinking about changing Doctors surgery and then maybe I'll get assigned a new, nicer HV.
I believe your HV is allocated according to the area you live and not what Doctors you go to (or at least that's how it's done here). There should be more than one HV in the group though so you should be able to request a different one.

If you're worried about the jabs, you could wait until after them to complain. (Maybe write it and then hand it in after the jabs?)

I actually didn't know HVs did jabs - it was the Drs who did them when I was little and the nurses do them at our Drs.
I have a packet of mince in the freezer which I use to lay the bags on top of so they freeze in nice flat blocks...easier for storage when you have as many as I do!!!
I used to have a rectangular yoghurt pot (one of those big ones) with a load of lids in it to squash the milk according to how much milk there was. I then put them in ice-cream/margerine tubs (with a bit of cardboard sticking out with the date range on it) once they were frozen. Have only got three tubs worth left now.

Which usual has online trials. It used to be free but last time I wanted it, it was £1 I think.
