I want to bake too SM, but got no eggs, oats or chocolate so can't do sponge, twinks or RR which is just about my entire repertoire
Will pick up some bits later. Depending on how much I can express, might leave Rhys with mum for a while longer and go do a proper shop - fridge is looking very empty! Batch cooked cottage pie for tea though
ETA: Em, what state did Seth come back in yesterday?

morning all
just a quick visit.
funeral went ok yesterday. was very emotional.
Kian is doing really well.
finally getting my head round a routine with making the formula for him. (lot of boiling kettles it seems- but mw says its ok to keep 1 bottle of boiled water in fridge till needed) cant belive he's 2 weeks old tomorrow!! seems like yesterday when he was born.
boobs have stopped aching and luckily i didnt need to use the cabbage to ease the pain, the flannels and warm bath along with a couple of paracetamol did the trick.
hope everyone is well.'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -

Thanks SM yeah it really does, I dont know if you get it but sometimes its easy to 'forget' about us as a couple and last nigt was lovely, going to do one of my indoor picnics tonight as we had a rubbish weekend and OH is going to book some time off next week or someting.
I was stressed as had it confirmed I have no contract to go back to after mat leave finishes but we dont need me to have one so I dont need to stress I can just enjoy being a mummy for now and concentrate on finding something after xmas if thats what I want to do. That was the major thing everyting else is really not important as long as we are healthy and happy thats all I care about xxxxxxx

Skinty - Welcome back. Glad you had a good holiday! We all told you it gets easier didn't we!
I think once the first 3 months are over, being a Mum gets to be much more fun!
And ignore the well meaning friends - DD1 was left to cry - and she's still a brat!
AF - We find the light from the gro-egg temp. thingy is enough for DD2, but dark enough for me & OH to be able to sleep too.
Sami - Hows Edgar and his sniffles this morning?
I'm getting jealous of the slow cookers!
What I normally do, is prepare dinner early in the day, and put it in the oven later on, no.5 for half an hour, then turn it down to slow cook til we want it. Last nights chicken vindaloo was gorgeous, the chicken turned all melt in the mouth because it was in the oven for longer than normal because I needed to Wii before I ate.
So, what does a slow cooker do differently to what I'm already doing in my oven?
(Sorry if this is a really silly question!)
Hugs Feelie if you're lurking. Hope you're ok. x
Tigs - well done Andrew! Clever boy! :T:TSorry I didnt come back yesterday, I ended up chatting to OH for a long time and he helped me to sort things out in my head and has promised me on tap massages and other favors to destress me so I can beat the smoking demons. WooHoo!
Dare we ask what they might be?:o
I'm waiting in for deliveries today - no doubt they'll come at 3, just after i've left for the school run!
I'm going to have a major sort out of DD1's bedroom.
Its her birthday in a couple of weeks, and as she's 'too old' for parties now
she wants a sleepover for her and 4 friends.
I'm going to have a proper clean, make bags for the tip, charity shop & ebay - and figure out how we're going to fit 5 girls in there comfortably! Wish me luck.:beer:0 -
spark me and philip have big chat alot its true sometimes you do forget so a big chat can sort it out ... sorry about your contract but since you dont need to worry put yourfeet up have a cuppa and plan great xmas x
Still searching .....:)
