Oh, I came back to an email from BB asking me if we'd be interested in reviewing the BabyBjorn Babysitter.

OK, off to dress baby and myself. I have very greasy hair but Caitlin is too clingy today for me to wash it before we go to see the HV. Minging Mummy is what I shall be known as today :o.

    Morning all..

Odd night here. Rhys had a big (for him!) bottle at 1.30am but was quite reflux-y so didn't settle well and wouldn't sleep until 3am-ish. Then woke me up at 7.45am when I thought he'd be starving but he's only had 30ml of a bottle then fell asleep on me and stayed asleep since I put him in his bouncer 40mins ago

Think he's just being a law unto himself at the minute because his calcium levels have actually come down to the middle of the normal range now so we can't blame them. Seems like we're coming out the other side of the latest kidney dodginess - more bloods booked for Thursday, then hopefully we can stretch them out longer than every four days.

Chopsticks, as Susan said, Rhys has his MRI on Monday so with recovery from the GA and other appointments next week I'm not sure when/if we're going to be able to fit this meet in :( Glad you had a good first holiday xx

Doc app for me later so dropping Rhys off with mum for half an hour. She's asked me to bring the pram wheels so we can take him for a walk round the village if the weather stays nice

update on weezl's work and money situation: It turns out I am eligible for the employer part of my mat pay, and if I do 8 KIT days between now and Christmas, then I can have £110 per week of SMP (weird, as I thought it was just a fixed amount!?) for the 39 weeks.

So that's tentatively good news :)

Next tasks: email my new line manager (new in post since I left) and suggest 8 KIT days, and see how she responds. Fingers crossed.

    Weezl xxx

Weezl Im not sure hun but if you didnt do the kit days would you not be entitled to MA which is £123.06 OR 90% of your weekly wage a week for 39 weeks. Its not much more but an extra £13.06 for 39 weeks add up. Elle would know better here though. Just a thought for you but im not certain on the terms of receiving MA

Don't get me wrong - I am not a jars and packets snob!! But I think Benjamin is :rotfl:Ready brek is suitable for babies :D

Henry much preferred Ready Break to baby rice and really runny Weetabix. We also tried not to use too many jars and packets but always good to try a few just in case you need to use one in an emergency...say for a long car journey etc....someone gave me that tip on here in one of the previous Parents Club threads.

Me too, we have mince, carrots, potatoes, onions and courgettes cooking in ours and OH is gonna make a suet topping later to go on top but theres soooo much that I think we will have enough to go back in the freezer as well.

Eeek, Xmas shopping. I've usually done quite a lot by this time of the year but am pretty far behind this year. Why couldn't I be blessed with a calm, contented, sleeping baby so I can get on with things?

I know the feeling, I have a few things but will use Sugarspun I think to search for some pressies as she is really well organised.

Why is it that Henry is obsessed with OH and wont let me do anything for him (really getting me down at mo ) and then when I take him to nursery he wont let me go !!!

  • Just typed out a huge reply and then lost it when I submitted it! Typical I usually always copy it if I have been writing for a while.....

Sorry I didnt come back yesterday, I ended up chatting to OH for a long time and he helped me to sort things out in my head and has promised me on tap massages and other favors to destress me so I can beat the smoking demons. WooHoo!

weezl that sounds tentatively great news for you. Fingers crossed.

elle - Thanks for the concern sweetie xxxx

Been busy here with visitors and so on. Not managing to keep up with the thread I'm afraid, but will try to pop in from time to time. Lo doing really well - I can't leave her alone for a minute as she's so mobile and her favourite game at the moment is pulling herself up on the furniture and standing up. oh dear!!!
