Morning :) you sound brighter today Weezl, even with the croup at one remove and the crazy-waking-upness! Welcome back Choppy, I have absolutely no recollection of the last 41 pages I am afraid :( maybe someone will come along to help soon :) the BF problems sound like they might easily be teething-related...
  • Choppy, when breastfeeding, the nipple goes all the way to the back of the throat (where to roof of your mouth goes from hard to soft... It's the rubbing on the hard bit that makes most people sore... Because the nipple isn't in the right place...) It is more likely that her ears are aching or her gums are sore if you think it's teeth... Feeding from a bottle takes an awful lot less effort than feeding from the booby so that's probably why she's got a liking for it...

Try not to read too much into the bobbing on and off... It's very common for them to do this, and do keep trying at feeding her yourself if that's the way you want to go forward...

And well done on the nipple shields!!!!

I'm still not feeling well... Can't stop today though, the in laws are coming and the house is nowhere near visitor standards... And hubby wants me to make chicken and mushroom pie with suet pastry... Which involves going to the shops and actually buying chicken and mushrooms...

Still... He left me some money for it which makes a change... And there's a lovely little cake shop down there...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

I think the only dessert I've ever made in my slow cooker is yoghurt.

Ooooh, how did you do that? (Haven't finished reading yet so you might have already said!)

Can anyone tell me where i can get maternity / nursing bras with a large back size (44) apart from ebay?

Mothercare have them :-) Figleaves do as well :-) (You can usually find cashback and/or codes for them too)

im abad mummy today too. Katie had a dry bum after lunch, went to the shop to get milk etc, and went got her out the car she was drenched!!!! she musta held it in all day and let one flood!!!!!

Charlotte did that yesterday. She had a nappy change after lunch, then we take the dog for a walk and she goes down for a nap. She was still dry after her nap, so Craig left the same nappy on, and I checked again just before tea and it was still dry. Then after tea she must have just let rip with wee and poo and it soaked out all down the back of her trousers - yuk!

We were sharing an aprtment with a couple with two kids who kept telling me I had to let her cry and that I was going to have a brat so I felt very undermined by them but managed to only cry over it once.

Pleased you had a brilliant holiday. I've said before on here, you need to grow a very thick skin to cope as a parent. No matter what you do, someone else will tell you that you are doing it wrong or they do it better etc. You need to learn to smile sweetly and nod in agreement as if you are taking the unwanted advice on board, while saying "yeah, whatever....." in your head and ignoring it all ;)

Off out to see the billboard with Charlotte on this morning and we're having a photoshoot in front of it. Pics to follow!
Here I go again on my own....

Morning everyone...hope everyone had a good nights sleep.
Skinty...gald you had a good holiday and you sound so much happier. Im sure you'll get used to ignoring comments from other parents. Eveyone had different opinions ( as on here ) and you take from it what you feel will benefit you, and ignore the rest.

Choppy, glad you had a good time. I would try to update you but i havent managed to keep up myself very well. You're away again this week?

Weezl, you're so kind and helpful to eveyone on here xx

Im sure there was so much more to say but cant remember now. Have a good day everyone.

Oh yes, AF...my brother used to leave a radio on really low in my neices' room when she went to sleep. Have to say, he was in difficult circumstances as her mum died when she was only a few months old. Think it was classic fm, or something quite relaxing but he felt it worked for him.

SB...hope you manage to stay clear of any colds this xmas!!
