  • Yeah I think all sami was gettin at was what works one night won't the next so you could try and try and try and she will be different every nite. I just take each nite as it comes. I was really strict with El from an early age and it has worked for me. But each babe is different...

    good morning! :)

I am up. Fergie is sleeping soundly. This is wrong surely?! If my annoying hormones are going to wake me at 5.30 I should at least do some childcare- non?

Still, my poached eggs were nomnomnom.

Kristal, I'm in the process of PMing you!

In case there is any misunderstanding, the fairies have many cubes, and would love any MSE babies who'd like one to get one. I will pass on your address to them if you PM me :)

Sami, how can I work out how big and where the white mark should be on your doggy? :( sorry being dumb!

Yesterday we were due to hang out with my friend and her daughter, but daughter had croup and was hospitalised in the night, so she is keeping her germs away from other little ones :(

    Love weezl x

    Hi everyone,

We're back from our weekend away and had a really good time.

Caitlin was pretty good and slept reasonably well two out of the three nights. She's still not 100% though and we're still not sure whether it is a tooth coming through or whether it's something else. I'm going to give Rhyme Time a miss this morning and take her to be weighed instead and ask the HV what she thinks.

One really good bit of news is that she's completely off the nipple shields now - mostly through "self-weaning" herself off them. I think I'm still going to keep them in the changing bag for a while (and take them on hol with me) just in case she changes her mind, but it's all looking positive at the moment.

Typically, now that we'd just got BF down to a T, her mouth seems to be hurting her when she feeds as she keeps bobbing off and on. She has a couple of sucks then comes off crying/groaning. She's not doing it when feeding from a bottle though, so I wonder if the teat goes further back in her mouth so it doesn't hurt the sore bit as much. I've had to give her expressed milk quite a bit over the weekend and when I didn't have enough, I had to top up with a couple of ozs of formula as I knew she was still hungry but she just wouldn't go on my boob.

I've managed to read a couple of pages but still have 41 pages to catch up on (half the thread!!)...don't suppose anyone would like to do me a quick summary would they? :D

Hope everyone is well and babies are sleeping lots :)

    xxx
