maybe i am doing my usual and over thinking things again then.
thinking of how the room is when LO goes down so it will be the same she stirs during the night. tonight she has gone off on her own albeit with me signing to her with the tv on the room but on mute. i am just wondering if i should leave the tv on all night so she has the light or not????
SB - had a pants night and felt just as bad this morning. thanks for asking :-)
elle - we use ella's kitchen and plum from time to time and sometimes cow and gate for a pudding when we are out. i try to use mostly home coooked things though. HV gave me a good tip for introducing fish if you dont eat it very much at home. buy 100% cod or haddock fish fingers. remove the breadcrumbs and then flake and give to bubs with veg etc. my LO loves them.0 -
Hi all! Well, we went to Italy and survived! Lilia travelled way better than we hoped, although the car is still a problem for her but the plane was a cinch and we used the sling while away the whole time and it was great.
She had trouble sleeping cos it was so hot and she also got a cold, and is still doing four feeds between 11 and 7, plus cluster feeds in the evening from 5, but somehow it feels better even though we got hardly any sleep (too hot and mozzies).
She is much more responsive now as she is nearly 10 weeks so she is more rewarding, which helps, and maybe I am just beginning to feel I can cope better. We were sharing an aprtment with a couple with two kids who kept telling me I had to let her cry and that I was going to have a brat so I felt very undermined by them but managed to only cry over it once.
I do feel we are doing OK with her - I'm sure she will learn to go to sleep on her own soon enough and the feeds will get less. She is happy anyway and that is the most important thing.
So we're very proud of taking an 8-week-old on holiday to Italy! Tomorrow it's the clinic and baby yoga.

Oooh, I can't wait!!
Poppy was only a few months old at her first one and we all had colds;
I was overdue on her second one and we all had colds;
Her third, and Jamie's first, is going to be the best ever!

AF, I wouldn't leave the TV on all night... I imagine the flickering of the screen would be more disturbing than relaxing... Could you not leave maybe the bathroom light on so there's some reflected light?
I just bought one of these

Well done on braving foreign climbs skinty!! Glad things are settling down a bit for you... Honestly, you'll reach the point soon where you don't even notice the feeding, it will just be something you do... Like changing her nappy or stroking her head... Something you don't even think about

Yes - the people not understanding the charts thing makes me sad, that was the relevant part :eek:skintchick wrote: »Hi all! Well, we went to Italy and survived!

That is awesome Skinty, you SHOULD be very proud! And screw that other couple for talking selfish nonsense, sorry they got to you at all! yeah, travelling with them at that age I think is easier than later, very good that you were brave enough to go for it
when they're mobile it becomes really hard to pin them down through lengthy journeys!
Good luck being tender MFD!0 -

Oh welcome back Glam by the way, were you away for the weekend?

And AF, I wouldn't leave the TV on personally if it was me, but who knows, it might work, let us know how it goes either way!0
