how much does everyone little ones eat? Only my Reece seems to be eating loads and still hungry but I don't want to overfed him and make him even bigger!!

    yesterday he ate:
    Boobie feed
    1.5 weetabix
    a banana
    a yogurt (full size)
    half slice of toast
a cube of HM pasta dinner (about 3 normal ice cube sized)
4 tablespoons worth of porridge with milk
9oz of Boobie milk to go to bed
then another fed at stupid o clock cos he's woken up! But when he was drinking you could hear it hitting an empty stomach so didn't feel so annoyed at him

The last 4 nights Reece has woken up in the night which he's not done for a few weeks and been waking up early in the morning as well. Is that a lot or not for a 5.5 month old? I can't remember what Charlie used to eat (i know he's only just turned two as well!!)
    What about bottles?
I've reduced Ryry's food cos he isn't drinking all his bottles lately, although I always give him bottle then food so not really sure why he's gone off them.

    gosh claire I'm really jealous:o

    Fergie ate yesterday:

equivalent of 4 ice cubes worth of macaroni cheese and a quarter of a slice of toast!

I find it really hard to get him to eat! As for a whole banana or a normal sized tub of yoghurt- wow, well done you :T

Today so far he has had a quarter weetabix....

seth isnt really interested in his bottles any more, which is why i've worked into the routine that he has one before a nap, even then he only drinks about 3oz though, and its a battle to get that down him! he seems to think that there are much more interesting things to do than drink a bottle, and is always wriggling away from it! the HV suggested i make up 2-3oz bottles and offer them every half hour or so, i just nodded and agreed but i havent done it, i'd be forever in the bl00dy kitchen sterilising! i just put a scoop or two in his meals instead, he isnt getting the liquid i suppose but at least he is getting the nutrition, and he's pooping well!

Reece is a greedy bu99er thats all. :rotfl:And a fatty! When he was last weighed at 20 weeks (5/10/09) he was 18lb 11oz - bang on the 91st centile

I've been really lucky so far (quick find some wood) he hasn't turned anything down.

speaking of how much they eat, i was wondering if seth was eating enough, cos when we went out yesterday i bought a jar of 7m+ food to take for him, and it was huge in comparison to what he normally eats! he normally eats the equivalent of a 4-6m+ jar and a yoghurt  are the jars a good guideline of what they "should" be eating?
he gets bored after a certain amount and starts pickling around, i'm never sure if he has eaten enough and is full or not!

I think the baby should give the guidelines on how much they need to eat rather than a jar size... Adults are all different and we can all put away a different sized dinner and babies are the same...

Claire, is he having enough milk? All his nutrition will be coming from his milk until he is 1, food is more for the experience at this age... Maybe try offering booby before a meal?

I'm a meanie... Caitlyn's not being weaned for at least another month... Longer if we haven't got a shed sorted lol...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
