Morning all.
My boys are so good at night times, I feel really lucky, I couldnt bear it if Ryry was like Aston was as a bubba
OH is in for his op this morning, yeah he's OH again, we need to sort it out cos whenever things get a bit tough i push him away and he runs for the hills
There is alot more to all this than I let on but we are dealing with it, slowly but surely.
Anyway, whats everyone up to today?
I am taking the boys into town cos it's OH's Mums birthday so we gonna get a card, pressie and then go over there.
Not that I can afford much, I'm really struggling at the moment, SM I'm going to sit down later and do me finances properly so might be enlisting your help:j Baby boy Number 2, arrived 12th April 2009!:j0 -

And lots of hugs for your horrid day yesterday. Why on earth are they making remarks about a baby?! Is it family that you don't see often?
xx
I'd gone to see my one sister's new house shes moved into, but i didn't realise she'd invited my other sister, and brother with his partner and my niece. My eldest sister has never really liked me, we've got a big age gap and because my dad isn't her dad there has been issues going on for years. It's a long complicated story. Basically she is angry with my mom for leaving her dad even now. She is the one who said to me-someones looking down and not liking you much right now. Then laughed in quite a nasty way. Just because Elliot is into everything and was wearing me out. Then goes onto joke i'll stick with my motorbike and being free to do what i like. It's not in a light hearted jokey way though. It's hard to explain without witnessing it.
My brother who was there, well he didn't talk to me for three years! We only made up over my Nan's death, but even now he's still being horrible. He didn't bother to come to Elliot's birthday party, made out he couldn't get there (only a bus ride-my husbands sister got train and bus down from london!). So there are still isssues, and i didn't know what to say to him.
There's far more to my family, but that's yesterday's issues.
Oh and i know i don't live there, and elliot is mine. But people could at least help me a little bit ie not put sweets all over floor so elliot almost grabs them and chokes....not push him out of the way so he falls over on his face (my nephew got told off from me for that).
God, I feel drained.

Em the things the nursery asked me to write down were..
Times of naps, Where he likes to nap ie, puschair, bouncy chair, cot..., does he like a blanket or toy when napping, does he have a dummy when naping.
Times of feeds, does he have bottle at the same time or /before/after solids, what foods does he like or dislike, how warm does he like his bottle as some babies only drink it warm some have it cool.
Playing, is he allowed his dummy while playing, does he have a favourite toy, or position ie sitting up/lying on tum/lying on back...,

I'd take them all and the dog
Are you still thinking he'd be better off elsewhere?
Yes! He's getting more walks now I can cope better with the dog and the buggy - but still not as much attention as he needs!
I was going to post on the Pets board about how to find a good home - but they all scare me over there! (MrsT has recently posted a similar story and I think some of the mad people suggested getting the baby rehomed before the dog!) :rotfl:feelinggood wrote: »OH just watched Toby and I had a 45 minute bath! Sami I kept forgetting yesterday, :TWell done Christopher on being a big no-nappy boy! :T
Have you seen the Satio in RL, or seen reviews? They all seem to be good (on the vodaphone site) - the only negatives seem to be apps not working because they're new. I don't think I can upgrade til Feb/Mar so hopefully they'll have been ironed out by then.:beer:0 -
Morning all..
*hugs* keely xx
Funny night here. Rhys had a 100ml bottle at 3am which lasted him two hours, then a 50ml bottle which lasted him four hours..And now he's just BF for half an hour so I've not got a hope of knowning how long that'll last him!
My friend who was supposed to be coming over woke up feeling ill this morning so she's not coming now so she doesn't give it to Rhys. Not nice for her as she's a teacher so il in half term!
Rhys' 11lb snowsuit is too small so I think I might just have to get the leopard print 0-3mth one out
Hope everyone has a good day. Muchos tidying to be done here.. Cuppa first though0 -

Daddy and Leila have gone to bed. I'm watching a swivel sweeper on QVC cos I cant be bothered to change the channel. Just racking my brain incase i've forgotten anything to tell the childminder. Its funny how the things I do with Leila all seems so natural and normal to me but when I write them down she seems to be a complicated little baby.
Loving the pumpkin pics tonight. Do they sell them pre-carved!! I dread to think what a mess I would make of it. I'm so uncreative!
Mooki please post it - I spent the night writing one in my head when I should have been sleeping :rolleyes:mookiandco wrote: »:(:(:(:(

mookie, out of interest what did you put in your leila/childminder manual? i need to do something like that and all i can think of is his nap pattern (or lack of!!)
The childminder gave us a questionnaire to complete it included details about food - allergies, favourite foods, like, dislikes, what they drink, if they have set meal times.
Toileting - how many nappy changes; creams or wipes used.
Sleep - daytime naps; where they sleep; routine to settle to sleep; how they like to be treated as soon as they wake up.
Medical stuff; special needs; favourite toys and games etc.
This is my Leila instruction manual:
SLEEP
Leila will only sleep on her tummy unless she is in her car seat or in the pushchair. When she falls asleep she needs to be placed gently on her tummy with her head to one side and her hand near her mouth (as she will suck her thumb to help her go back to sleep if she wakes up).
Leila goes from being very happy and playful to being very tired extremely quickly. She will start doing a high-pitched squeal or start whinging. Her eye-lids become shiny and the top of her head becomes hot! I usually hold her close with her head resting against my shoulder/chest and bounce her gently on my knee or cradle her and rock her gently. I will sometimes say shhhshhhshhh over and over again and pat her back gently to let her know it’s time to sleep. I do not let her cry, so if she isn’t comfortable in one position or starts moaning I will change her position. To stop her crying I usually hold her in the air and she smiles (but I don’t expect you to do this unless you are comfortable with it!!).
At the moment she starts her day at 9am, has a nap between 11am-12pm, another nap between 2pm and 2:40pm and another nap between 4pm and 6pm (all timings are approximate!). However, she will now be starting her day at 7am so I would expect that her nap times will be approximately 2 hours earlier e.g 9am, 12pm etc. There are some days when she seems to sleep alot but other days when she can be awake for a few hours without a nap.
EATING
Leila eats little and often. She can usually only take about 90ml to 120ml in one go. She often needs a gap in between to finish the feed. Therefore even if it seems as if she’s finished feeding, I usually keep the bottle out as she will normally want more about 30 minutes later. She feeds as soon as she wakes up and sometimes just before she sleeps. She very rarely brings back a feed unless she has too much activity after a feed. She gets hiccups if laid flat shortly after a feed. She hates having hiccups!! The only way to stop her hiccups is to try to give her more milk.
I will be providing 3 bottles of 120ml of breast milk. This should be refrigerated and warmed when needed. It is okay to keep a bottle out once warmed for 30 minutes or so. I will also be providing some small cartons of formula and I am happy for Leila to have these if they are needed, for example if you run out of milk. I shall provide a spare bottle.
Leila will let you know she’s had enough by chewing the bottle teat and letting the milk run out of her mouth. If you take the bottle out of her mouth before she has finished she will start to cry!! We do not use bibs with her, just a muslin placed under her chin to catch any drips but I have provided some bibs if you prefer to use them. Leila tends to get a bit distracted when she feeds, especially if the television is on. She also tries to hold the bottle and push it in her mouth. She is very strong so if you’re not careful you will get covered in a spray of milk!
She needs winding after every feed until she does a nice noisy burp! We usually bounce her on our knee gently to get the wind up. It doesn’t usually take very long.
PLAY
Leila prefers human company to toys! She loves to smile and interact with you. She loves it if you sing to her or just talk to her. She will lie on a mat for a short while and also likes to be propped up to a sitting position e.g on the sofa. She has a blanket that she likes to chew. Everything goes in her mouth these days – toys, her hands, muslins, her clothes – everything! She doesn’t often roll over but if she is sitting up she will often throw herself forward or to the side. She can lie on the floor on her tummy but she gets bored (and cross) with this quite quickly. She loves to stand with support on your knee.
Leila is very very noisy. She squeals alot and makes other noises when playing.
NAPPY
I usually change Leila every 4 hours or so. So she will need changing about 11/12pm and again about 3/4pm. I never wake her up to change her so timings for nappy changes are approximate. I also change her if her nappy seems very wet or if she has done a poo. I just use wipes on her but if she appears sore just let me know and I will provide some cream.
GENERAL
Leila is a very happy little baby. She only cries for a reason usually if she’s hungry, wants company or is tired. She loves going out and usually behaves well. I am available any time on the telephone.
I would much rather know immediately if there are any problems or Leila is unsettled. If you need anything at all, please let me know.

Bad night here-Elliot has a cold and sore throat, crying a lot of night and wouldn't accept any calpol for his teething
Had a stressfull day yesterday, came home shaking from stress and exhaustion. Felt like crying. I can't cope with family problems anymore. I've had enough. I don't like family members coming out with horrible sarcastic remarks about Elliot. They can all go jump now. Saying something about Elliot has made my mind up for me.

I was secretly planning to get a dog for my birthday (in june) but I'm wondering if I could get the house sorted sooner....
I had a go of it yesterday but it was a bit slow to react but I wasn't sure if it was because it had the sticker on the screen or not I'm wondering if I should have a go of the nokia equivilent that everyone raves about but need to see what the camera is like coz thats mostly what attracted me0
