DS always had issues with textures, and noises. Always been fascinated by gadgets. I think his brain didn't develop properly because of all the cysts that were there at my 20wk scan, I'm sure it stop that side growing.

Because he doesnt have a diagnosis of anything, so there is nothing to claim for

you don't need a diagnosis so long as he is requiring extra care.

How is he doing with his physio anyway?
  • tara, did you have the cysts in your womb?? Did they remove them or wait till after birth??

Maddy is 15wks and I would never look at anything she could or couldn't do and consider it austism, and with a child with it already I know there is a higher chance but she is far too young for me to see any signs and to be brutally honest (please don't shoot me down) even if she was, what would I do that was any different, nothing, as I wouldn't be able to change it. When he was older DS needed different care but not as a baby, he just cried a lot more. Wouldn't change him now though! :A

Thanks tara. That is exactly what I needed to hear. I was hoping that she is too young to start worrying about things like that, because they won't be able to do any conclusive tests until she is older anyway.

Even if it is her eyes then I am assuming that they stuggle to do anything about it until baby is older?

    Thanks hun :A

Oh, I didnt know that, will maybe look into it then.

Physio is going well. We start hydrotherapy next in 2 weeks and I am actually really looking forward to it. Right hand side was always the better one, and it is improving loads, but his left hand side is still tight.

He has started throwing his arm backwards really hard when you pick him up, but he is getting there slowly, every little bit helps and all :D

Am at the hospital next week for paed appt to see about his reflux, so the physio can do more tummy exercises as he wont tolerate it at the minute at all, and we are hoping if he isnt being sick, he will lay on his front easier .

Have you made a decision about school ??

The cysts were on his brain, was told if they hadn't gone by 28wks I would have to abort him as he would die anyway!!!

Been a long time since I saw a 15week baby but I saw my friends baby for the first time at around that age and I don't remembering him following things with his eyes but he did stare at loads of different things and his responded if there was a noise from a specfic area.

I didn't think you could see signs of autism so early?? Not that I know much about it but I thought it was around the toddler stage that signs showed? That's what happened with my cousin, though not sure exactly what he's been diagnosed with, some learning difficulties anyways.

Keira went to bed at 8:30 tonight yeeeey. Bit worried though! I was lying down with her having a chat and she said "A lady outside gave me money and I gave it to Cameron) he's another boy in her class. Now I know the nursery took them outside today to play in the leaves so this just adds more fact to her tale! I know 3yo's won't always tell exactly what happened but I don't see how that could of been made up? AND WHO WAS GIVING HER MONEY?!!
