FSCS - Compensation

Hi Busbyh
They did received a phone call from a Deloitte claim handler, think it was in and around May 09 - asking questions about the loan and the PPI - they were asked if they could remember the name of the sales person from Picture that had dealt with their loan through to completion! Deloitte said they needed as much information as possible in order to investigate their claim, if I recall they were asked to send a copy of the agreement.
When I received a call from Deloitte I was just asked to confirm who I was and asked for a copy of the credit agreement which detailed all the figures. I then received a second call 10 min later after they realised I had already sent a copy to the FSCS and a 2nd copy was not required.
Hope this helps

Over the last few weeks, I have had some messing about from deloittes, where they were forever asking for copies of this and that, where the FSCS had them all along, then deloittes accidentally sent back to me and my hubby the declaration and consent forms, they emailed to say to send them back, we did this, they confirmed they had received them, then about a fortnight after they sent attachments online for us to complete, yet again another declaration and consent form.
We hope now they have received everything they require, fingers crossed.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

That was quite some time back wasn't it.
I know the name of our claim handler is on the copy of the terms and conditions I sent them., so there would be no need to request it from them. I don't know what to think now, as that puts paid to another theory.
I will have to get hold of my son in law and ask him exactly what was said in the phone call. This is why I am concerned as It is not my claim and so I don't really know what was said.
I could be worrying over nothing as he has several lines of mis sell.
Reasons we gave for mis sell- the single premium,
- only 5 year cover but paying for 25yrs.
- cover for first named only
- amount of PPi £8872 on original but copy we requested showed what total amount would cost at current interest rate.
- pre-existing medical conditions

Yes I sent everything I could think of, was only asked to confirm whether I was working at the time of each loan. This phone call took place after Picture had been declared in Default and after mine had been passed to Deloittes.
Really surprised they were asked who dealt with their loan.DS1 12/10/04

When Deloitte called me it was at work of all places!!!! Anyhoo I was very suspicious they explained that the FSCS had subcontracted the work to Deloitte as they had the staff resources to do the investigations that were required.
I asked how long it would take to investigate and report their findings to the FSCS, they had advised it depends on each claim i.e. if information was readily available or if they had to wait for Picture/Target to give them data.
I received a letter from Deloitte two days after the phone call explaining that they had been asked on behalf of the FSCS to handle the claim - never heard from Deloitte again.

May09 seems very early for them to be in contact so maybe they thought there was a problem back then, was anyone else contacted before the cases were passed over or their case sent to Deloitte?DS1 12/10/04

Glad your here Honey to answer our questions, thank you.:T:T
You have been amazing and very helpful, this way we will all know what to expect, cheers hun.
Do you mind me asking if they asked if your finance was settled and details of the lenders if you went to a new lender or remortgaged, where they also required their details as well?
Cheers.

this is where listening to the phone recordings come in, saves them going through everything to find the advisor:eek::eek:dialysis,mammamia,honey.beaniebabe,saltyfish,funky,Gumbi,Lian,doogle,oldwulf,pinknico,Halpin,alyson,Barloo,jadone,demir,netabc,chickpee,dannyboy,tomgaskel,Lozza001,sandzb,di,marshallka,pengi,lynnie,busbyh,moggy,Kim66,honestbob,tobione,itdonk,arrongborne,thunders,newtonchang,mbones,showergirl, coffeetower,hayston,sappy,dolallytap,AuntieDeedee0 -
