  • Our reasons were very similar to yours.
The policy covered me and not both of us as we were led to believe,
We both had pre existing medical conditions which they were told about and they said that was fine "as long as you are ok now!" was the answer.
We were informed the PPI was select to picture and the best deal on the market, in addition we were told it was part of the loan offer that we had to take it.
We were not informed that if we missed any repayments we would lose the bonus pay out after the first 3 years.
The representative never spoke with my OH and only dealt with me to.

We wished we had never taken this loan but it seemed good idea at the time:mad:

I think we all kick ourselves over this don't we?

But still it just goes to show that this proves the mis selling, they do not explain everything, and I'm very sure none of us would have taken out these policies if we were told otherwise.

Everyone deserves their money back and more for the distress they have caused.
Glad yours is sorted now Honey.
Looking hopeful for everyone else now as well.:T:T;)

  • I kick myself every day - The FSCS telephoned me yesterday and said I would receive a cheque and a letter, so yes mine seems to be ok. I won't believe it till I see it though.

Our PPI cost was £10,450.00 taken out in 2006 for 5 years and only covered the 1st named not joint.

Once I receive the correspondence from the FSCS I am happy to post what they say in relation to how they have made the decision and what the calculations are. Hopefully it will help others trying to work out what they will get.

Once again I am sorry not my intention to cause upset today.
