FSCS - Compensation

Blimey, I thought that being single premiums would be enough. Can they not escalate the case like with FOS and go higher. I would certainly not give up on that one. Was it actually explained to them that this only covered first 5 years etc and that it would cost an arm and a leg..... I could go on....

What makes you say you don't know if there is any truth in it. WHy would your friend make it up:eek:what would they have to gain

I am staying optimistic here. I am a big believer in you don't always get the full story from friends, especially friends of a friend. Some people are a bit embarrassed about their financial circumstances, don't want people to know the details, they may have not been totally honest with their claim and sometimes don't want others to have some good luck for once. I am not saying your friend is not being honest and please don't think I disrespect your opinion Honey. However I think its worth baring in mind and staying positive. Thanks for the info, though.X

I hope you are right, beaniebabe, and do see what you are saying. We don't know the circumstances of the rejection etc. It still doesn't stop me feeling sick though

To be honest di, the phone recordings have always bothered me. You think you can remember everyhting that was discussed, but can't be 100%

I dont believe that in Deloittes investigations they listened to phonecalls, they just asked for information on whether any PPI had been paid out or any refunds given.
Just my opinion on information given from Deloittes, not fact!
