in laws have an ikea one its great value they are really pleased with it, they bought granite worktops to set it off from this company much cheaper than anywhere else and they come to you and cut it there and then, expect they will need a new kitchen one day but dont think they will ever need new worktops

I had a kitchen from Howden fitted over 8 years ago.
Very well pleased with the look and quality.
I don't know it it is still the case, but when I bought mine, Howdens kitchens were the wholesale side of MFI - so I used to pop down to the MFI showrooms to check out what I wanted , but ordered it through Howdens for a fraction of the price.0 -
I will never use b&q again,beware all!!!!!!!!
Nightmare from start (when they didn't turn up on said day) until finish (5 weeks later, yes five!) and trust me its a small kitchen should have been all done and dusted in a week!
They use contractors so god knows who you'll end up with (and I'm sure god didn't know mine as they were builders from hell !!!!!!!)
Customer care,what customer care!!
Had my downstairs toilet and hallway done by a local firm (in berkshire):A
Oh if only I'd known about them before!!!!!
Morel of the story, get recommendations and use firms that use and know their own fitters.

We bought our kitchen from Wickes over 8 years ago.It was one that you could take with you[as opposed to one that you have to order and wait for delivery] 2 of our sons installed it for us and it still looks as good as the day it was fitted and it didn't cost very much.if i had known then what i know now0

i have just purchased a new kitchen from wickes. I have to say, i did look at all the others and speak to them but they where not as good. I had great fun haggling with wicks then just as i got the kitchen down as low as i could i could some appliances chucked in for free too!! They are really good there. So good i have gone back to buy all the wood flooring and tiles for my house - which i got a hefty discount on of course!!!0

Another vote for Ikea, the kitchen fitter we got said the quality was much better than most and went off and bought one for his own house.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

I've heard good things about ikea, but a little reluctant as the nearest one is a 2 hour drive away. Long way to go for a forgotten screw me thinks!!
thanks

I've purchased items from instore at Ikea before, and once a furniture item had missing pieces,I rang them as we are 1 hour away from our nearest store and they sent it out by post to me at no charge (very friendly/helpful/apologetic and posted quickly).
Hope this is of some help.
