i get my pads from here:
http://plushpants.com/details/Natural%20Woman/subcat/Wemoon(R)%20Menstrual%20Pads/extra_cat/Menstrual%20Products.html
i like mine....much more comfortable than disposables, not to mention no strain on the environment!
i soak them after use, give them a quick rinse through, then throw them in the machine with my other clothes and they come out great!
good luck!0 -

Perhaps if we can ever afford to have kids I might be able to use it after giving birth.
Might have to buy some washable pads instead, any suggestions anyone?

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll leave it for now and get some washable pads when I run out of my current supply of liners/tampons. I'm quite light so hopefully these will be enough for me.Thanks to everyone for their help.

Re the moooncup
it aint green. After a while of use, it actually turns kind of light brown.
It aint green, due to its materials of construction.
As for moneysaving, would not rags(washed after every period of course), and old newspaper(not washed, but disposed of) not be cheaper?
Finally, using disabled toilet facilites to wash these things out in the sink is disgusting. Period.:rotfl:0 -
Hi, Used my mooncup today. It's FANTASTIC! Didn't even feel like I had it in. Much more comfortable than a tampon and no worries about toxic whatsitsnameworries! Bit yukky doing the empting out bit though but to save money and have comfortable periods, I can put up with yukkiness!0

Day Two in the Big B**** House - and so far:
comfortable night and no worries about the sudden 'gush' when you get up from bed:D and have to 'waddle' to the loo - no leaks:T
haven't had to take any painkillers as no heavy cramping - :j
not so aware that I've got it in now - whereas the first day I was quite 'conscious' of it.
surprised at how much 'cleaner' it feels - did wonder whether I'd find it a bit 'icky' - but tbh the idea of pads/tampons seems 'ickier' now.:rotfl:
Was considering investing in a couple of washable pads for 'back-up' - but not sure I'd need them. Considering getting some funky ones for DD1's 13th birthday though - sort of 'welcome to womanhood' present:rotfl: Not sure she'd manage a mooncup.
littleange_com - sorry to hear you didn't get on with yours - I was looking at washable pads all yesterday - think DD1 would like the pink camouflage ones...(very surprised that there didn't appear to be much on ebay- when you consider what else you can find:rotfl: )

That's really great news Son. You'll soon get the hang of emptying it without any yukkiness, honestly. I've been using mine for 6 years now, and only get blood on my fingers once in a blue moon!I'm free from tampons - another Mooncup Convert!

I think Littleange's suggestion for a Mini Mooncup is a good one, but Mooncup still don't think there is a demand for one. It's a shame because I think that there is def a market for them. Glad Day 2 went well. Have you experienced TFT yet? (!!!! Flap Twangage) :rolleyes:I'm free from tampons - another Mooncup Convert!
