Wow I love MSE:A
I received my compensation back in August 2000
it was a fixed compensation value of £500 plus any variable compensation (profits policies at midnight on 22 June 1999 with declared bonuses attached)
So good luck all
Mine was paid into a VIP Premier Account for me.0 -

Will a mortgage decreasing term assurance policy qualify?
Very long shot shot - but I know it it did not give a surrender value and therefore it was a pure term assurance plan.{Signature removed by Forum Team - if you are not sure why we have removed your signature please contact the Forum Team}0 -
Due to redundancy-sold my policy through surrender link-had the policy 16 yrs -can I claim or have I lost out?:mad:0

Thank you MSE & team. Didn't know of this (possible )payout.
Tried filling in the 'information form' but couldn't send it without my phone number.......no box appeared for phone number to be entered.
This morning phoned the number you gave. Nice lady said that they had been told to direct enquiries to web site. Told her that I had tried that, and explained about lack of space for phone numbers. She probably thought I was totally incompetent, so took pity on me and took down all the relevant details to be passed on. Question; how long should I wait for a response before making a further nuisance of myself.?0 -
my partner had a policy back in 1997 which he paid £17 per week for over a year and then stopped because he didnt have direct debit facilities. Can he be eligible to claim it back would you know?0

I have just called them as the online form doesn't allow for executors to put the information in about themselves. the number on the website wasn't much help so they suggested I called a different number for the head office. They were helpful but the department I needed to speak to is only open until 5pm so I wil have to call back on Monday0

He never had the policy when Scottish Widows was bought by LloydsTSB in 2000 so no.If you don’t speculate, you can’t accumulate. :beer:0 -
Anyone had any joy without an account number? We had mortgage protection cover policy around this time but have got rid of all the paper work as changed four years ago!!
Have filled online form in anyway but will this be enough?
Thanks0
