Think about the people who own the car parks, this is their weekly wages and they have a right to earn money to pay for maintenance of car parks. I own six spaces outside my shop and people abuse it all the time parking for two hours to go for a meal or their hair done somewhere else, I pay the rates and keep it in good order for my customers. How would they feel if I parked on their driveway at home for two hours and went shopping.
Perhaps you should set up some sort of system to keep the spaces for your customers, or like supermarkets and retail parks perhaps you are too lazy to be bothered.0 -
HI
My car got the usual ticket from euro car parks but my issue with the ticket is it was given for not been parked in a marked bay.
Correct ,it was parked on some grass on the outside of the car park.
So in my tiny little mind the driver had not entered into the agreement with them ??? as the car was not in the car park. ( also, I am not sure who was driving the car as it was for sale at the time and was on unaccompanied test drives ;-) )
I am now getting shirty letters from control credit , so I rang them and told them I was not the driver and didn't know who was . The lovely lady said it would be me who needed to pay £100 then lol.
She is sending me a photo of the car not parked in a euro car park but on the land out side, I did question her that if it was not in a car park how could they enforce it,she then informed me the driver would have driven past the sign but not entered into the car park and that good enough, (so a may get a ticket for parking out side my house as I drive past a sign the other day.
What course of action should I take after I receive the pic of my car ??
Thanks

Ignore them.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Take a small hammer and, when noone is looking, smash their headlights.
Just be sure it's not one of your customers.0 -
PLease Help!!! I know I must sound like a paranoid freak, but I have just had another lot of letters from Euro Car Parks, well there Credit company actually... I thought they had stopped as I hadnt heard from them in months until just a couple of days ago......
This time I got 4 letters instead of 3? which was strange, however they have gone back to original amount of £90 per ticket... they are asking me to pay this otherwise there 'client' will incur charges ... I dont actually have the car that the tickets where issued for anymore, which is a little worrying... Can you give me any advise RE these letters? Thanks Guys xx0 -
Carry on ignoring them.
If they really had a case against you they would have taken it to court long ago. The fact they have lowered the amount due exposes the reality of the situation.
Check the "Parking Tickets" sub forum of the "Motoring" forum on here for similar cases and copies of the letter chains.0
