although we often make suppositions about the positions people might be in, in mass, as statistics or surmisations, nothing is quit as impactful as someone explaining their real life situation.
I wish your family the very best of luck and congratulations on the baby. I hope the next year is more positive for you.0 -

I'm not sure if you're a parent FF, but frankly the idea of that is frightening enough without the need for scaremongering witch-hunts.
As has already been suggested, if you're genuinely worried, go to the police. Either way drop the "salt of the earth concerned geezer" act.
Might help if you actully read the posts mate:D
(And if you had youd know one of the dads IS the police)
Not a parent, as I have said at least twice just passing on anecdotal from a bit of film and a mate's account of what happened. Overview is film shows Mr Pervy loitering outside then coming into playground, trying to atrract girls' attention, saying things about them being "fit", swinging on swings, making lewd groin gestures all the while staring and letching at them. When they leave, he leaves. There are 2 v peed off dads out there who have seen this fim and I have no idea what they will do about it - it's not really anything to do with me. oH, and it's them who don't want me showing their daughter's faces, no idea about any law mate (and YOutube wouldn't exists if there were one).
So are we clear now?0 -
Thanks Fungus, for the trust as much as anything. For the liberals here is my view.
The video and audio clips are better than mobile phone quality. I won’t go through the contents for reasons I discussed with FF via PM. It will have to suffice that my interpretation of the clips is clear, and the behaviour of this middle aged man is very wrong. He looks menacing and deliberate –not by accident has he positioned himself so close to the girls with such a vantage point.
A saving grace is that the girls are clearly having fun, sneaking video of him and seemingly finding it amusing to be stalked. But that’s a child’s view point. As a parent I would be horrified. And as a parent I see no reason for giving him the benefit of the doubt. Neither would any parent, were they to see this footage.
I gave Fungus a list of suggestions to pass on to the parents. I am keeping these private for obvious reasons as they are not all entirely above board shall we say.0 -

There's nothing better than taking you kids to a restaurant in Spain or Italy where the staff will actually engage and entertain them.
I think in the UK we just hate kids by comparison.
TBH, there is some paranoia over here but nothing compared to the UK.
In Oz it's more the occasional deluded fool (like my sister-in-law for example) than a mass delusion. You can still take photos at a school concert and all that sort of thing.
I think you're right, there is a big culture in the UK of despising children. It's very sad and made me feel that I needed to move elsewhere to drag up the Generalissimos. France was probably first choice but Australia is easier from a language pov. <hollow laugh>And I thought it would be easier to get work<hollow laugh>0 -

Perfectly clear.
Have you told your mates you've shown the video to a stranger on a message board despite their request?
Don't tell me I can guess the answer.
"Yeah I have, and they're ok with it cos he's a dad and sound...... innit"
So now the video contains "lewd groin gestures". Seems like someone is starting to embellish their story to make sure it stands up.
Need to end this in a way you'd understand......

Admitting to encouraging illegal activity whilst not telling anyone what those acts are as some kind of defence is frankly naive in the extreme.
Ever see "Brass Eye"?
You and FF are part of the story.0 -
I know this shouldn't be dragging on but must say ...
If the story is how we have it described now, then why the heck did any of the parents stay there while that was going on, let alone allow their kids to film it. And one of the dads is a policeman?!!!
I'd have whisked my children away from there as fast as I could, gone straight to the police station and expected someone out there to look for and deal with this man pronto.
I've got a growing feeling of unease about the whole story. Are we next going to be told that the children were being used as bait?
It now sounds as if there was more than enough evidence for the police to act there and then and not let him walk away.0 -
