I've just (cheekily!) emailled Egg as I applied on the day The Telegraph online is showing as mentioning it.
Basically saying I applied on the basis of the offer online which appears not to have an end date and the Telegraph thingy blah blah, would you please honour the offer. (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/main.jhtml?xml=/travel/2006/05/27/etsavvy27.xml&sSheet=/living/2006/05/27/ixlivingbottom.html)
I wouldn't mind, but my sister has an Egg card already so she could've booked it for me :(
I'll keep you updated with my stingyness

It is possible to combine this lounge booking through egg and quidco, thus getting the 50% cashback and 10% cashback off the full cost.
    I.e. full cost = £34
    - 50% egg discount = £17 -
    - 10% Quidco = £ 3.40
    Total = £14.40

To do this you must open a browser to lounge pass via the egg link bringing you to the lounge pass page saying welcome egg customers. Then open a browser to lounge pass via quidco and it will also then open at the lounge pass page saying welcome egg customers. Then close the original browser. This enables you to get both discounts. It works as i have done it.

    Hi all,

Well, I missed the deadline for the 75% but did sign up with the Egg Money Manager and should get £10 for doing it!

    Here's the info: from Egg.com

Bored of always hopping from site to site, just to check your balances? Let Egg simplify your life with Egg Money Manager.
With just one password see your online accounts in one place, whether they're with Egg or not.
One click takes you to your other bank's website.
Simple, safe and secure with the Egg Guarantee.
Register with Egg Money Manager and add a non-Egg account from now until 30 June 2006 and we'll give you £10 - just like that.

(will be in account by end July - so not quite "just like that" but still better than a smack in the face with a wet fish!!) ;)

    Cheers!

Same here but booked a lounge at East Midlands Airport with 50% back for a trip in August and signed up for the Egg Money Manager too!

  • Top tip!! Going to Malta in 3 weeks, booked VIP lounge at Norwich airport and at Malta. Also going to Ibiza in september from Norwich and booked VIP for that as well. Flown from Norwich loads of times, I didn't even know they had a VIP lounge, even looked for it on there website but it doesn't mention it, plus I haven't used my egg card for ages, don't even carry it in my wallet any more.
    I'm well happy.
    Cheers!!
  • Oh yer,
I've used the VIP at gatwick, very nice once I found where it was. Had to make the most of the free booze and food, only trouble was, it was 8:00am. It's just a shame they don't call you down for your flight and let you bored before everyone else.
Maybe I just want to much lol.

I don't have an egg card, nor do I travel often.. so this deal isn't much use to me.

But, it seems egg have a dedicated site section of 'current deals' and 'immediate cashback' offers.
Are there any other gems there? Are they regular?
Is it worth getting the card just to have access to the site page?

I signed up for my holidays all through the year for the 75% offer because I thought it might be wthdraw.

So the lesson is "these offers can be withdrawn at any time".
