Which lounge did you use at Gatwick South Pin? Your experience sounds nothing like mine!

    Used the Servisair lounge.

With Gatwick South there is a choice of the Servisair lounge or the Continental Airlines lounge (but that is only open until 13.30). If you have a choice, go for the CO lounge.

There are good lounges and bad lounges at Gatwick South and other airports, I'd rather spend money in a better restaurant than pay for a poor lounge.

There is a good map here of facilities at Gatwick South http://www.gatwickairport.com/assets/B2CPortal/Static%20Files/Gatwick_Terminal_Map_2006_South_Terminal.pdf

That's gonna upset a lot of peple! There was a big article on lounges in the Telegraph at the weekend which quoted the 75% off deal with EGG.

As I've posted previously, a change to the deal is likely to result in lots of cancelled cards - mine for one!

My one booking so far is paid for by their £10 donation for setting up Money Manager.

As someone else has posted, in my experience, the 'food' in these lounges is very limited. £20 for a couple will go a long way to paying for a decent meal in the airport restaurant.

It is a shame after advertising the fact of 75%, EGG have decided to drop the offer to 50%.
I admit, at 50% the deal is not so attractive.

However it is still a good saving.

I don't think I would ever spend £18.00 on an airport lounge. I managed to get mine for £4.50 each, which is an absolute bargain.

I am going to Gatwick South in August, I do not have high expectations. If I want a cooked breakfast I will go and pay for one. But my children will love the unlimited soft drinks and snacks. As they snack anytime, and I have no doubt it will save us money in that respect.

On the up side, over 20,000 people looked at the post, before the offer was changed to 50%.

    Enjoy your holidays.

I was fortunate to get 75% off for 4 people (paid £18 in total) - for Gatwick south lounge in August. Don't really know what to expect - but I think it is worth trying - and it's got to be better than sitting in a crowded terminal in the height of the Summer rush!
Thanks again to Flange for finding this one!!!

Too late for me, we are going to Holland for the weekend. I missed this post, but I can see why it won the monthly award.

I am kicking myself, I was actually looking at the prices for a lounge for the return flight, through a site through quidco, its £17 each, boo hoo.

Just off to see if anyone I know has an egg card!!!

Off to quidco to apply for one for my next trip!! (well I'll have to go away again now to take advatage of such a bargain!!!)
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷
