You'd still be faster than me! I was bored today waiting for my pizza and set the satnav to see how far it was to home (they said it was too far to deliver, it's less than half their maximum distance), it was 1.3 miles. Last year I walked home from a pub round the corner from there and it nearly killed me! I can't even imagine a marathon, so I really, really admire you.

To be honest, until I started reading here I never realised people ran and things for fun, I thought it was a pride thing, or a charity thing, it never occurred to me people might actually enjoy it! Especially after bits of conversations I heard last weekend between Becky and Linda, when it got to toenails falling off I moved out of earshot...

  • ok, i'm trying to play things very cool with Mr Friday - had a good time, he said he'd like to see me again.

i sent him a 'had a lovely time and thank you' txt on sat morning. Didn't get a reply but i know he was working on Sat.

Sent him a 'if you'd like to chat on the phone, here's my home number' text tonight - he'd said that he'd found it difficult to get the tone of what someone means on im - the intonation.

no reply as yet, but i think he was working today as well, but only in the day.

so, next move is up to him.......

Hope everything works out Scaredy, you're right, it's down to him now. But I'm the last person to be giving man advice!

    Wow well done!

Cheese sauce is well beyond me, I'm still strying to get an omelette to work...

Dad's gf is trying to teach him how to cook, last weekend he made chocolate chip muffins that they could both eat. Which since she has a wheat allergy and he has diabetes was quite an achievement!
