I'm not dismissing the psychic thing, I wouldn't be so rude or arrogant, but I think a lot of 'psychic ability' is just the ability to pick up on tiny clues, vocal changes, facial expressions, body language etc, and decipher them...so in fact if you get the help you need, and start to feel better, it's possible she will pick up on that and worry less about you?

If not, could you say to her 'I know you don't approve, so I'm really touched that you are supporting me anyway'? That way you are paying her a compliment and making it very difficult to then say she doesn't think you should take them.

Tbh, that's the kind of 'psychic' I meant in this case, more general women's intuition than anything from the ether. I do think she's genuinely psychic in other ways but that's neither here nor there. Hopefully, she will see me getting better though and stop worrying. I think I might try that line on her afterwards, depending on what happens. The doctor might actually suggest another solution. I doubt it but you never know.

Can someone just give me a sturn talking to and tell me to stop eating....tonight I have gone crazy and am sooo peed off with myself!

Sally I cant give you a sturn talking to because you look beautiful as you are. However one thing to remember is no matter how hard you try 99% of the time that 1% where you eat something on the syn list/high in callories will out do at least 25% of that if not more. So each time you head for the biscuit tin or whatever think ~ do I really want to out do the previous 3+ days  Also its be batted around the internet (I read it on another forum) that if you eat only 1 packet of crips/3 biscuits or the equivelent in whatever high cal food every day you are efectively giving yourself an extra pound to burn off. So say on Monday and Friday you have a 'cheat' that could have been an extra 2lb lost that week. Its not really worth it is it  Sometimes though you have to allow your head to overrule your heart, you may want something nice to eat (heart) but you must make your head 'win'. I guess it all comes down to motivation/dedication/willpower and determination.

Well thats my 2 pence worth :rotfl:

Sally.....I am hardly one to help......but do you know why you are wanting to eat....maybe it is because you aren't feeling well...comfort eating and all that. I have come to 'read' why I am eating...bored, upset, happy, stressed, ill...and I usually eat different things when I am feeling different things...

Just imagine weighing in this week and not having lost anything..you have done so well so far, don't sabotage it now...

Thanks Pap and Sammy...I think its because Im feeling ill. I went out for lunch yesterday and was soooo good didn't have dessert and then today have eaten biscuits, flapjack and bread after bread. Have written today off as a bad day and will start afresh tomorrow. I also think my problem is that I weigh myself and this morning I had lost a pound and that suddenly gave me the right to eat *sigh*. So starting tomorrow I will NOT be weighing myself at home, only at sw on a wednesday.
