I've got a couple of things on my mind today and a couple of questions for you knowledgable ladies!
1. Nipples!
My nipples are in agony. Particularly in the evenings and when I take my bra off. They are also very prominent, which is so embarrassing as I teach several teenage boys (piano teacher) and I can feel them poking out (the nipples that is!) constantly. Is this normal, and does anybody have any solutions?
Muso x
Muso - been meaning to reply to your post. Not sure if anyone else gave you advice about your nipples, but in the early stages of pregnancy, I was in agony with my nipples all of the time, and only 1 person on here understood what I was talking about. Every night I left work, and by the time I had walked to my car, I would get in and be holding my breasts and crying with the pain. It really was agony.
I tried various things (breast pads, bigger bras, padding etc), but it only eased off when the warmer weather came in and they weren't as erect any more. Even in Lanzarote in March, it ruined my holiday as although it was warm, there was a slight breeze at night, and I only had 1 cardigan with me which just wasn't warm enough for the pain which meant we couldn't really go out much as I would end up in tears.
I don't really have any advice for you, other than to say if this sounds like you, then you are not alone. Try and wrap up warm!0 -
Just to let you all know my beautiful boy, Edward George, was born yesterday morning at 10.50 and weighed in at 8lb 11oz. Will post pics and BS in a few days when I get home from hospital, but the birth was a fabulous happy event and we've had a lovely day falling in love with our new baby0

Nicki, having awful trouble replying on my phone so hope this time it's worked. I just came on to try to calm myself down as having a little silent rage at something my daughters school has done. Totally chuffed to find you have posted your fabulous news! I just missed you when you went off on wed. Huge congratulations on the arrival of little Edward. Am so pleased everything went so well after all the turmoil you've been through.x0

Congratulations to ML and nicki :j Loving the names!
Hi all - I'm still here  Feeling a bit fed up now - think it's boredom setting in a bit, plus bubs is quieter now so constantly feeling like I want to poke her to make sure she is okayThe midwives had asked if she was slowing down though so I'm not (too) worried - you know what I'm like by now
Was feeling a little queasy with 'burning' twinges down my sides and legs yesterday, so must make a good effort to go out for a walk today. I do need to post a letter so might walk around the development later and do this - anything to try and get myself going.
Huge labour vibes to harley and csh, and hugs to anyone else who would like them xx
ETA: ooooh, countdown to christmas on QVC today. I have a feeling I'll be watching some of this today...0 -
Morning all, still here!! Had a great sleep last night, OH slept on the couch, he said to me to get a good sleep incase its my last for a while :rotfl:
Hes way more impatient than I am, I'm not even overly bothered now at going over, my only concern is that I cannot have this baby on Tuesday!!!!! DD will not share her birthday! Plus I don't want to miss her birthday, can't believe my wee girl will be 13
Huge labour vibes to Harley, Squishy and Europa and hugs all round for those that need them x
Weezl- hope you have a better day today and try not to feel too down. Only you and your DH know whats best for your family x0 -
Congratulations Nicki, glad everything went so well for you. :T Look forward to piccys of baby Edward
Afraid I'm still here too. Not much in the way of twinges and no more show or any pain. Last nights curry and pineapple did squat. I can just see it'll be an induction next week. I am so fed up with waiting now, I just want mummy cuddles and to stop feeling so fat and uncoordinated. I have noticed in the last couple of days that I have got far more clumsy.
Muso, my boobs really hurt in the beginning too. I had to (subtly) hold them in place when I climbed the stairs or if I was walking anywhere I had to make sure that there wasn't too much 'bounce'. I agree that a good fitting sports bra would probably make all the difference. I bought nursing bras fairly early on and they helped no end as they were a better fit than the ones I had already.
Right Squishy and csh, what else can we do to get these babies moving?
xxxxxCross Stitch Challenge member 11 - May challenge well under way
Very proud mummy to Gorgeous baby girl - 29/09/09 :j
Thanks to all who directed me to Quidco - £289.30 since Nov 09 :beer:0 -

If you find something that works, let me knowWould they induce you next week? My midwife was talking of letting me go for as long as possible before induction, which means for me the latest would be the 6th October so week after next.
