Okay, this is a bit random but I'm wondering if it's just me or if others are the same. I now look at babies/toddlers/small chidren and comment to OH on whether I think they are dressed warmly enough! For example we saw a teeny tiny baby the other day with no hat on and it was freezing weather. I never used to do this, is this my maternal instinct kicking in?!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Anyone watching The British in Bed on BBC2? Nothing sordid lol. But  some of them have issues that need sorting out. Some sound so sweet especially the older couple married for 50+ years , lol. I hope me and OH are like thatMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0

How long have you got left on your policy this year? Generally the refund would be pro-rata, and most companies have a minimum it has to reach before anything is paid (but this does work vvs too, so if ap you don't have to pay until same limit)
Unfortunately most "cheap" car insurers do charge an admin fee, particularly if you're getting it through a broker. It is crap but that's the way that industry is (I am a broker lol so see it all first hand!)
Hi! I've got til May, and this was apparently their reasoning for me not getting any reduction on my premium by changing to the cheaper car .
I was with eCar last year and i wasn't charged to change my car, so i was v.shocked to find that Auto direct charge, especially cos he didn't bother telling me til i'd gone through all the motions!
Haven't caught up yet so hope we have some news from people0 -
GISI I should think that is ur maternal instinct kicking in, yay!!
Right well I am off to bed now, chat tomorrow

GISI - lol then you would have had a fright seeing my DD in summer -we wrapped her in so many layers as i was adament is must have been heaps hotter in my tum and that even though it was warm out i was sure she would freeze, lol! You learn over the first few days what is right, also you learn to take a few layers OFF of them without worrying too much.
But no babies should def have a hat on at the mo, it's the quickest way to lose heat through the head.
But my DD is just like OH, always too hot. I layer her up and when we get outside she starts undressing saying she is too hot. OH is still going out without a jacket - i think he is nuts.
I think i am over cautious and try to keep them warm, even when they don't want to be, lol.Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
Oh i forgot to say, i had my midwife appt today (33+5) and she wrote on my notes "relation to brim : 4/5"
 Does this mean 4.5 engaged and isn't it a bit soon? :eek:0 -

Apparently that means 1/5 is engaged, and 4/5 not engaged. It's a bit confusing, but 3/5 is actually less than half engaged.
I was 3/5 engaged at 34 weeks, but it tends to happen earlier with your first. With your second and subsequent babies they tend to drift in and out I think :rotfl:. Does that make it less  for you?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Don't worry too much Beenie - i'm sure she would have explained anything if anything was unusual
Seriously anyone watching this program - told you they had issues.Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -

Oooh i see!! Yeah i feel better now hehe, i told my friend and asked if that meant 1/5 would be the scary one but she thought the same as me that 5/5 would be fully engaged if that makes sense! So yeah it's confusing lol. She said it was all fine and baby was in a good position, back to front (i think?) and head down!0 -
found this on babycentre if it helps:
er... *student nurse hat on*
When the mw can feel 5/5, it means all 5ths of the head are above the pelvis, when it decreases etc 4/5, 3/5 this means that the baby is moving down into the pelvis and the mw can only feel 4/5ths or 3/5ths etc....
so if you are 1/5th engaged it means the baby is very low in the pelvis and almost near birth!
Hope that helps :
So by looks of it, what the write is how much they can still feel above the pelvis. Once it hits 1/5 they can only feel a little bit of bubs head as it's already moved into the pelvic bone.
Just wanted to understand it a bit better myself too so i hope that helps a bitMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0
