thanks ladies for all the kind words ,I really appericiated it x

I honestly think it was him upstairs way of making DP and I realise how much we wanted this baby as it was very much an unplanned and shock pregnany .

I am so pleased for you! :T

All this talk of eBaying makes me think I should do some more, but then I', worried if I go into labour OH wouldn't know how to send all the sold items!

I am so shattered. Went for lunch at Prezzo, shopped all afternoon then had a Nandos for tea! I was quite restrained at lunch and dinner, but I think the peri-peri sauce has stirred baby as I'm getting some mild twinges. Sure it won't come to anything though. The good news is we got bridesmaids dresses- I got a size 16 which is a size bigger than my pre-preg size, but I'm worried that a 14 would be too tight around the bust as I never seem to lose weight there. If I have to payto have it taken in a bit closer to the time then so be it!

I've also fallen in love with this http://www.boots.com/en/Mini-Mode-Christmas-Knitted-Fairisle-Dress-0-12Months_1015664/ in Boots. If we have a girl we are so getting it!

Gisi that dress is gorgeous, so cute for christmas. :D

I dont know how you've got the energy to do what you have today, apart from going to and from work Im practically housebound now. For the last few weeks if I walk for more than 5 minutes Im in agony but all I get off my midwives (I never see the same one twice!) is 'you get aches and pains in pregnancy '

  • Hi All
Can i join your club? I'm 6 and a half weeks pregnant due 20th of June 2010 first pregnancy. Can't tell anybody as want to make it to the twelve week scan before DH and I announce the big news but I need to talk to someone, having really bad all day nausea. Not actually sick but getting that desperate way as I'm starting to feel that if I was at least sick there might be some form of relief. DH keeps saying he doesn't think it works like that but it's really getting me down. Also I do a job were I assess peoples ability to eat after an aquired head injury/stroke etc and going into the wards/nursing homes with all the smells and watching people eat (which admittedly a lot of other folk used to ask me how I could stand doing the job before but it never ever bothered me) are now making me gag. I'm getting really angry with myself as it's just a bit of feeling sick so why am I feeling so totally over whelmed by it? Please, please any advice would be much appreciated.

  • Hi and welcome Penny. Of course you can join us all!

We know how you feel, many of us have or are suffering the nausea too :(

I felt so fed up before i joined - now i still feel fed up sometimes but it is great to be able to talk to those feeling similar (and those lovely people who remind you there is light at the end of the morning sickness tunnel, lol).

I am 10 weeks today - but still feeling ill, but yes the physical being sick has come finally. Hoping to be out of the woods soon. I have tried seabands, they have stopped me being sick so much, so they may be worth a try for you - the only thing is they are itchy so i keep taking them off.

Also i found at your stage and up until about 10days ago that eating little and often is the best way to stay feeling ok. Even if it means keeping some dried fruit in your pocket and constantly nibbling ;)

I understand the anger at yourself though, i was there too - even asking myself why on earth i wanted to put myself through this again. But chatting on here does really help you get through. x

  • Thanks Boogellyboo! This has not been a typical day for me, and the walking has left me so sore.

Littlebit- Helen was due yesterday, and Fidget was due on the 20th but she was being induced today so hopefully has her baby with her now! I'm due Wednesday, and am really hoping baby is punctual like Mummy (I hate people being late)!

Welcome Penny Pauper! Congratulations on your pregnancy. All I can say on the nausea is that you're not alone to find it overwhelming and I totally feel for you doing your job at the moment. It is really tough to just try and carry on as normal before you get to 12 weeks, but I'm sure it will get better for you.

Was talking to my best friend about baby clothes today and told her we have tons of newborn and 0-3 so she is going to get us bigger stuff, bless her! She is so certain it's a boy though she said she might actually just start buying boy's stuff. What does she know that I don't!!!

    That's brilliant news, Jopsey!:j

More good news - looks like we will be exchanging contracts tomorrow and moving next Friday. Will be having a sneaky little glass of wine tomorrow night if that's the case.

Been sooooo busy all day - lots of tubes and trains and out to lunch with an old college friend and more tubes and then aquanatal, think is snoozing time now. Night all.

Welcome Penny Pauper - I was constantly sick morning noon and night from week 6 to 14 _pale_ I found some days if I managed to get something down me early in the day I could carry on nibbling throughout the day then but if I didnt there was little chance of me managing to eat. I survived pretty much on lucozade and salt & vinegar snack a jacks! Normally they taste far too tangy for me but there was something about them that took the edge off feeling queasy

The bands didnt work for me but I know for others their a big help and if one more person had suggested ginger to me I couldnt have been held responsible for telling them where to stick it! It made me feel worse!
