  • Thank you my_gorgeous_ellie-belle, kindofagilr, got-it-spend-it

I guess it does help to know that everyone is in the same boat (unfortunately this is all new to DH and me and he keeps looking at me as if his normally very level headed wife has been replaced by some over wraught amateur dramatics enthusiast)
Strongly suspect if it doesn't ease up by the twelve week mark, the jelly baby is going to be an only child!

  • Hi everyone, Ive just caught up.

Well I have got a midwife appt tomorrow morning so hopefully I will find out if the baby is starting to engage.

Me and my pregnant friend from work (who is due day before me) went to visit other work friend and her 2 week old baby today, arghhhhh he is so cute!! Still cant quite believe we are gonna have our own very soon!!

Ooh yeh thats what I was gonna say, last night I did eat rather a lot of crud not long before bed, and then when I went to bed I got the most awful stomach ache and it was horrible, then eventually I went to the loo and TMI ALERT had really bad diawoowoo. Think it was all my own fault for eating so much rubbish, but couldnt help but hope it was due to labour starting soon, lol!!

GISI - Hope your well, ur due date is so close now!! Are you and Boogelly finding you get an aching on the inner tops of your thighs? I am noticing this more and more, not for very long at a time, but not a very nice ache at all.

    xx

  • It's all so exciting Fattybooboo! I can't believe my EDD is less than a week away! To be honest my whole thigh/hip/pelvis/bump area hurt if I walk any distance now. Do you mean right underneath, in your groin? I actually asked the Dr about this a while ago and he just said it was one of the joys of pregnancy...isn't everything?!

That's rubbish about your poorly stomach. I must admit that everytime I have a good clearout, *ahem*, I think is this the start of things....it never is, I'm probably just eating so much bloomin' pineapple that it's going straight through me!

  • GISI - Lol loving ur wording 'a good clearout', thats the sorta thing my DH says :) Mind u, once it had happened, I did feel a lot better, lol!! Erm the thigh ache is actually on the inner top of my thigh (where its flabby!!) IYSWIM but I do sometime get groin ache too. Probs all to do with the extra weight Im carrying. I did get a really sore bottom of foot backalong that was hard to walk on, but that just stopped all of a sudden.

My bump is squirming around lots at the mo, seems to still be going higher to the right as I look at it, near my belly button. Any ideas what body part this would be assuming he is still head down?

PS I am doing rather rubbish at the RLT regime, I am managing 1 cup a day minimum but should be on more than that by now!! How r u getting on with that?

    xx

  • Always - that is fab news!!! 1 glass can't hurt so don't feel bad at all and that is deffinately reason for a celebratory glass ;) I have already said i'll have a glass on Xmas and New Year or i'll feel really left out, lol! Nighty night! x

EA - well done on the ebaying!!! - you have listed 5 more items than me :D But i will try in a min.

Boogelyboo - I agree with the Lucozade and salt and vinegar stuff....it's all i seem to keep down too. Glad you are over it though - really hoping i follow suit asap! Please please let me!

Penny Pauper - everyone says that even if they are REALLY ill (i am talking in hosp on a drip due to the MS), i did too and i am back doing it all again. And as i know the joy a child can bring i'll even do it a third time because even though the first 12 or so weeks you feel like crap, the rest of pregnancy is a bit easier, and the reward at the end is a million-fold. Just hang in there hun! x

Those first 12 weeks do seem to last a lifetime but once you pass that stage the rest of pregnancy goes alot quicker and you begin to wonder how time is passing you by. I'm sure many of the ladies here will vouch for that too ;)

Welcome Penny :) Can't help on the sickness front I'm afraid..was one of the lucky ones who got away with it!

    Gisi that dress is lovely.

    Wonder how SJ is today?

OH is playing Xbox, the noise is seriously irritating me. Really need to snap out of my horrible mood!

Just been looking at furniture, really can't make my mind up...now spotted the 'Pure' range at Mothercare which looks lovely - Som, any opinions? :D Not sure how to do the nursery either...whether to do it in beige/brown, or grey...or something really bright, like white walls with red decoration/shelves etc, seriously feel like I need to decide and start doing something about it!

    ETA: Brill news Always :)

& well done on the eBaying EA!

I get that on the right hand side- I think it is a butt, but I'm not sure! I imagine it head down, butt stuck out under my ribs then legs curled in towards his/her body. Does that make any sense?

RLT, I generally manage one or two cups a day, plus I make it up to four with two or three capsules. I was finding too many hot drinks were making my reflux worse. I'm also taking 3-4 evening primrose too.

Ooh, gymfiend I was wondering about SJ too. Are you around SJ? Hope you're feeling better.

  • Lol i was going to agree - deffinately a bum! I used to get the same and feet that got caught under my ribs all too often. Used to have to dig my fingers under my ribs to pop the feet out - sounds awful, it really was :(

Gisi - if you have a girl you must buy that dress, it is gorge. Saying that they have a similar knitted boys xmas looking romper suit in MC - mega cute! It was cream with red stitching. Perfect for Xmas day photos ;)

Gym - well i am not impressed. Mega green envy eyes at you, lol! I so wanted to be one of those lucky ones, i thought i was for the first week or so after i found out, i felt great!

Boo I get really achey at the tops of my thighs and hips. I have to stop for a breather now walking from my house to the bus stop and its less than 3 mins away! On the RLT Im managing 2-3 cups most days. I might start making a big jug up in the morning and keeping it in the fridge as like gisi too many hot drinks have me reaching for the gaviscon.

Belly monkey seems to be getting higher too, Im sure she's trying to climb up my ribs! There havent been any signs of her movements slowing the last few days, if anything shes hyper. Its really odd watching her back/bum pressing out all along one side of my bump then rolling to the other side. At my 34 week appt I was 3/5 engaged so Im assuming its her back and bum anyway?

  • Ooh cool thanks GISI, MGEB & Boogelly, I can imagine that must be how he is lying now. Its good to hear ur movements are not slowing either Boogelly :) And also good to hear that ur thighs and hips ache too, not that thats good IYSWIM, but nice to know Im not on my own!! Hope I am told that I am some way engaged tomorrow!!

The hot RLT makes my reflux worse too, doesnt help when I keep leaving it until nighttime to drink it either. Mind u, I cant stand it cold either, ha so I cant win really!!

Gymfiend - My DH is on xbox too, men!! I am gonna leave him to it in a min and go to bed with our dog to watch tv, hehe!!

    xx
