PP - am scared now, have natwest and paypal eek!
Well fur ball home and very sleepy but otherwise good. Bought him some of the chicken and rice food they sell at the vets, as recommended small easy meals for the next 24 hrs. Wasn't cheap but tbh if Id gone to mr Ts and bought chicken and rice and cooked it up my self, it would have probably cost more! Hoping he wont nibble at the stitches or will have to go get one of those daft lamp shade things for him, and we know he hates those.
Off to friends for a few hours after dinner, she just got back from florida and has pressies, probably mainly for bubs but thats fine by meBaby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Hello Peeps!
So, I caved. I booked a private scan yesterday cos my NHS scan is two and a half weeks away and I had a strange fear that there would be nothing in my ever increasing belly! Went first thing this morning and all is well. Extremely well. Am 11 weeks 3 days, and due on 17th May. Can someone add me onto the list please?
Also, the scan lady said she thinks its a girl; she showed us the bits that lead her to this conclusion. She reckons she is 70% sure. Isn't that far too soon?
Anywho, am delighted and just wanted to share!

I was thinking about you yesterday Jopsey and wondered if everything was ok. Have my fingers crossed for your results tomorrow.
This has been worrying me somewhat lately as I did not have the triple test and am now a bit nervous about the arrival of LO especially with the newpapers at the moment focussing on the link between age of the mother and resent statistics of chromesome disorders.
thanks thats lovely of you , my DP made me rest up after amnio and shipped DS out to relatives .Had a real lazy few days just watching tv and I swear the news reports where just to remind me ,if I was trying to blank it from my mind:rotfl:
I didn't have test with DS and totally know how you feel part of me wishes I didn't this time but with my age 38 and will be 39 when baby due ,I thought it was for the best.0 -
Huh really soon, everything says genitallia cannot be determined until about week 16-17 when it actually starts to show properly!?!?!
But congrats none the less - that was my origional due date until they changed it (darn them, lol) so we are nearly level pegging! Welcome too! x x x x Aw bigs hugs i am so pleased for you knowing what you were making yourself believe - i know i had to do 5 tests before i believed anything, including a 'spell it out for you' one, lol! x xMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -

skintgypsy all added , it may a bit early to tell sex as you are still early , i think all babies are female then add bits if they are going to be male , def wait for 20weeks to be 100%, i went at 17 weeks to do with my cyst , and the sono lady even said then i think its aboy but def know at 20 weeks , so to be honest , i would just take it as you dont know still , well thats what i would do any how
HTH , and welcome to our life :PDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
You can tell early on if they are trained and you go private. I read it somewhere
They cant give you a definate answer, only a percentage. And sometimes they can be wrong. So dont go and buy loads of pink, just incase :P
Unless you dont mind your little boy wearing pink of course!

Gypsy congrats! Glad all was well. As MGEB has said, 11 weeks is prob too early to tell according to everything I've read. All babies will look like girls on the scan at this point I think, so I wouldn't buy too much pink stuff just yet!
So, swimming breast stroke isn't recommended due to kicking your legs so far apart, if I'm sat with my feet touching but knees bent and basically legs akimbo is this a bad idea? I can't get comfy today and keep finding myself like this and feeling like I should move.0 -
jopsey - fingers crossed for your results tomorrow
being on ml has made my pregnancy brain soooo bad - am going to have to start exercising my brain as well as doing my daily walk exercise!!!! - forgotten completely what I was going to write!
in between working my way through the box set of prime suspect (how dated do the first couple look!), have managed to establish via lots of phone calls that our buyer is stalling so seems we won't be exchanging contracts this Friday which means we won't be moving until I am 37 weeks  ok so partly my fault for not putting the flat on the market until after our 20 week scan but even so seems to have taken an age given there are only the 2 of us in the chain! the upside is, it'll delay the start of the mega mortgage payments. DP has been fab and doing a lot of the chasing today as my BP appointment this morning was not so great so he is confining me to the settee. Hopefully he won't spot the 6 new bags of packing I've done stacked up in the hall cupboard
have a hard day tomorrow - more lunching! meeting up with a friend and her 10 month old. ooh and is aquanatal tomorrow too - assuming a day with a 10 month old doesn't fry my brains! somi - good news about your definite girl scan! hope your spd is calming down and should see ya tomorrow evening.
35 weeks tomorrow so RLT starting!0 -
We should a Portsmouth and nearby baby group maybe lol. Only we'd never meet because we are all to MSE to travel lol.
OH and I just found out about another 2 bed flat owned by the same landlord slightly closer to OH's shop that may be availible soon. I'm really feeling that karma wants us to move from where we are, even though we love it here.
I've been feeling a lot of movement today but I have had horribly painfull trapped wind on and off all day so I think that maybe upsetting the baby. Would it restrict their movement or squish them perhaps??
