Back from midwife..good news, I'm 4/5ths engaged! I know it isn't alot but I'm happy as it means he's slowly making his way to the exit :j Also she said it isn't alot BUT it is good because when you've had kids before you don;t tend to engage atall untill labour is about to start.
I'm measuring 40 weeks so pleased about that too, I was convinced I would be measuring ahead of 40 weeks cos I feel so bloomin massive.
I asked about the bloody show I've had and she was baffled as to why I had that 16 days ago and nothings happened..tell me about it love, if you don't know how am I supposed to  reckons it can't have been a show, just abit of cervical erosion. She made me an appointment for week today for a sweep if I want it,but wants to see me sooner..apparantly I'm the talk of the office at the mo..they all wanna be on call for my home water birth!!love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
Kindof - She onyl started kicking after i ate lol. Hopefully she approves of the pizza baguette
Im having an apple now so see what she thinks of thatx

Afternoon all
I have read through since getting back out of bed about 1pm but sorry not got any notes as still feel shocking. Not had to rush to the bsthroom in a while but still feel sick, and my back is aching now from laying down all day. Enough of my moaning though.
Hugs Helen, not sure how I can moan about my day in light of yoursBig labour vibes for you for tomorrow though. ETA glad your MW app was good too
And Fidget glad your MW was better today. Really hope your sweep does the trick too and you enjoyed asda0 -
Som - really pleased the scan went well, lovely photo!
Karen - sorry you burnt your bump, i've done it a couple of times with the steamer on the iron so I know it isn't pleasant!
Well am back from ASDA - man that shop is a nightmare! It's one of those busy town centre ones that gets completely jam packed full of the town's finest all pushing, shoving and (according to my mum) combing the entrance for dog ends to smoke. God I sound like a right snob but sometimes I do get well shocked at the way that a growing number of people in our town are seeming to have something of the night about them! After nearly getting knocked over about 50 times, I did shout at one woman - asked her if I needed to be any more pregnant or on crutches for her not to barge me out of the way!
I ended up going soft and buying dd a Christmas DVD to watch tonight. I was a bit choked as she's gone to my mum's now until I'm back from hospital or OH is back to look after her. I was a bit  that she told the checkout assistant that I'm going to hospital and then pointed heaven wards and said like Kevin (her dad's dog who died recently!):eek::eek:
But she has got a fixation with dying at the moment so hopefully it that and not that she's a little bit psychic!
I had a show when I got back but I think that's pretty standard when you've had a sweep. It looks nothing like the one I had when I had DD though. Again my mum's driving brought on some pains but once I was safely out of the vehicle they calmed down again.
On the swine flu subject, my OH works for the NHS and is in and out of hospitals and dr surgeries all day so I've always been a bit worried that we may have a lot of exposure to it. To be honest it is another reason for me settling for an early induction as the thought of getting that at this stage fills me with horror. Mind you I have just done what I keep telling myself off for, coming home from the supermarket where I've touched a basket handle or trolly and eating stuff I've bought :EasterBun without remembering to use anti bac first :exclamati
I'm going to have a lie down now!0 -

Fidget- that sounds like my local Asda! I'm sorry, but that made me laugh about your DD saying 'like Kevin'! Bless her!
SJ- hope you start feeling better soon.
I got my £1 Galaxy in Co-op and also some milk and eggs to make pancakes for pudding later. I've got some lemons to use up so will have them with sugar and lemon juice...nom nom.
Helen- I can just imagine the MWs fighting over who's going to come out and do your birth.
Baby seems to kick most when I'm drinking my RLT. It sends him/her loopy!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Hope you're feeling better soon SJ that sounds awful!
Helen hope your day is going as well as can be expected and that you wake up tomorrow with more to do than you planned! xx0
