Morning ladies,
Ive had an awful nights sleep, nodded off downstairs and when I went upto bed just couldnt sleep no matter what I tried and just lay there waiting for morning to get up again. My sisters headed home (she lives a couple of hours away from me) armed with a list of recipes for her batch cooking and details of all the sites for discount codes and freebies. I'll make her MSE yet :rotfl: It seemed really strange when she said 'the next time I see you will be to visit my niece '
Labour vibes to all who want them and good luck for scans today.Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
Morning folks - you lot can talk cant you :rotfl::T:D
Congrats to new moms and gorgeous pics of wee bundles :T
Today is our booking-in appointment - I sooo wish it was the first scan though!!!!
Our BFP story goes something like this, we had decided around April-time of this year to try for a wee one, so that was when I stopped talking the pill. My AF didnt turn up on the day it shouldve and Im not sure why I did a test but I did - it showed a faint line. I decided to do another later in the afternoon and it showed up positive as well. At this point I was in 2 minds whether to text OH and tell him but decided on waiting to tell him in person. Well that week he was on 24hr call-out so I waited up til he came home which was around 11.30 and waited for the right moment. The previous few weeks we were looking at our next holiday for early next year so I said to him ' You know we were talking about going away next March/April time??'' he said yeah, I then said 'Well we might have to cancel that because I might not fit on the plane!!'' He just looked at me gone out....few seconds later and said 'Oh do you think youre..(points to my stomach)'' 'Yeah I think so Ive done 2 tests and they said positive'. Then he smiled and said 'Oh good!!!:D'Opinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!!0 -

Hey all,
Starting with rant i'm afraid!!! Why do people insist on keeping hungry pregnant woman waiting, don't they know how dangerous it is, not for the baby for them. Grrrrrrr.
I'm starving today and I'm waiting for a Mac D's to turn up from OH'S mum and she's really really late. I've already had a Greggs cheese and onion pastie to keep going but its wearing off.
Raaaaaaaahhhhhhh

EA I nearly bought that outfit the other day
If your near an asda they had some gorgeous purple shoes and boots to match. I ended up getting a knitted stripy romper in the same colours but they didnt have the shoes in the same age as the outfit.
I spent part of yesterday going all through belly monkeys clothes, she has way too much! Ive filled her wardrobe and drawers with newborn and 0-3 then packed all the 3-6, 6-9 and 9-12 month stuff in plastic crates to swap into as and when needed. In my defence my mum bought most of the older age group stuff in bundles off ebay, I dont think Id have bought that far ahead but some were too cute to resistAnd there are still 'a few' binbags at my sisters for my mum to bring next week  Im going to have to change her outfit every 5 minutes to get through half of them.
Fishcake its soo wrong to keep a preggie woman waiting for food! When you want something you want it NOW!Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
congratulations pookie! I love the name Matthew - think we ruled that one tho as one of our best friends is called Matthew. At the moment the only name we remotely agree on is Thomas but I am not 100% convinced by it at all!
Wow, am 20th on the list with 39 days to go. Have 34+ week growth scan this afternoon, after the trauma of the last scan 2 weeks ago, am hoping that leaving the stress of work and commuting has helped him grow, if not I could be in for some serious queue jumping. If he's OK, think I might start on the RLT this week! Good luck for everyone else's scans today.
Jopsey - hope your amnio went / goes OK today.0 -
Just a flying visit as leaving work in 2 mins to go meet a friend for lunch. She used to work here but left last month and I've not seen her since so that will be nice.
Good luck for all the scans and appointments today, and hoe the earlier ones went well if I've missed them!
I'm ok today but put on some jeans that I shouldn't have as I'm all squashed up and not too comfy! Oh well, they can get packed in the spare room after I wash them.
Labour vibes to all who want them.
Aless, I really like Aislin for a girl
We haven't decided on any names yet but have a few in mind, although we aren't telling anyone in RL about any of them of. Currently for boys we are thinking Spencer or Clark, and for girls maybe Grace, Isabelle, or Alice, with definite middle name of Ruth. No boys middle name as yet.0 -
Just had my ML pack from work through, ML starts 25th Jan 10 , 6 weeks full pay 7 - 39 weeks 90%pay, then have 31 days hol to take , which will take 5 days at end of ML , return to work ( if i do) 1st November, signed off sick until 25th Jan so not to bad ,
If we was havinga girl i loved lily rose , but never really disgussed it untilwe knew we was having a boyDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
Why do middle names seem to be so much easier?! My brother, dad, grandpa and great grandfathers on both sides all had James either as a first or middle name so as our little boy will be having DP's surname, straight away that sorted the middle name out as it's something from my side.
Waiting for DP to send scans of stuff from work so I can email solicitors to try and speed things up - the very pregnant, extra medical monitoring card is going their way today. If they've not replied by 4pm today, they are getting it all down the phone instead of nicely by email. If we exchange this week and complete next week, I'll be moving 36 weeks pregnant  assuming little man doesn't need to make an early appearance....0
